Pours pale golden/straw, minimal head and some sticky lacing. Aroma if floral, very delicate, malty, some lemon and peppery. It gets more flavourful to the palate, with spices, pepper, malts, honey, lemon, grass, wood and some yeasty funk. Low bitterness but not sweet either (yes!). Body is quite light, with a flat carbonation. Damn good ale, and I don’t fancy pale beers!

Whoa. This is a special beer. It’s a beer that a boquet of flavors that’s so easily drinkable. I’d drink a lot of this and enjoy pulling out the flavors time and time again. It was a real treat to drink. Awesome.

Wersja butelkowa 2014.

Krągła pełnia, umiarkowane do wysokiego wysycenie i kwaskowo- alkoholowy finisz z nutami pieprznymi. Niezłe, ale liczyłem na większy wpływ beczki.

Draft at The Hoppy Monk. Golden color with white lacing head. Strong apple aroma and taste. A bit of tartness. Nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Like Jolly Pumpkin’s other brews, Oro de Calabaza reveals the smells and flavors of the Franco-Belgian farmhouse brewing techniques. Oro de Calabaza pours gold. Its nose is yeasty, floral, and peppery. Tastes like bread-like malt, grass, stone fruit, white pepper, and acidic funk. There’s some earthy sourness on the palate. There’s a lot of the old world in this brew.

Bottle, once bought at Erzbierschof Liebefeld, bottled 01-08-2013. Pours cloudy amber with a soft foam. Aroma is beautiful wooden barrel, apples, light yeast. Body is medium, lightly sour and a bit tart, lots of fruit, peach, soft carbonation. Palate lingers on stone fruit and yeast. Absolutely beautiful!
