Bottled. Pours slightly hazy, pale amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of brett, caramel, citrus and woody notes. Sweet flavor that ends up dry and tart. Medium bodied, oily texture and flat carbonation. A very nice Sour. Beer5000 (6494) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JAN 11, 2015
750 ml bottle. Deep golden body with a small, dense off-white head. Quite fresh and fruity aroma with some malt and some funkiness. Flavor is both sweet and sour with mild malt, citric fruit, some acidity and funk. Fine body and aftertaste. Another nice and well balanced creature from JP.

Bottle: Opaque amber, red-ish tints all around. Small, off-white head dissipates quickly, leaving the top of the beer bare. Aroma of sour & musty fruits. Cherry, citrus, lemon, mild tropical notes, sour pineapple. Some heavy must & cellar floor funk in the background. Bright, heavy citrus flavors hit the palate up front; sour, tart, & backed by a strong acetic character. The sourness mellows out eventually into a softer sweetness that seems accompanied by more of a tropical fruit essence; tangerine, pineapple, maybe mango? Something tropical. Mild vinegar & a touch of sour lacto. Wet wood & lingering oak in the finish with a hint of barnyard hay. Really tasty. Had another bottle maybe 8 months later & at wasn’t nearly as sour. More sweet. Surprising, as I thought it would be the opposite. wedgie9 (2702) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - DEC 2, 2014

From notes. Tasted some time near the summer of 2012 from a capped 750mL bottle obtained in a trade. Pours hazy burnt orange with a thin white head that leaves thin, sticky lace. The nose is signature JP funk with orange pith, a lightly acetic white wine vinegar note, spicy hibiscus, and just a touch of vanilla oak. The flavor is nicely sour with tons of lemon, orange, white peppercorn, hibiscus, funk, and light touch of oak. The body is medium with some tannin, average carbonation, and a long sour and spicy peppercorn and hibiscus finish.

Outstanding sour, lots of cherry throughout. Body is thin and very translucent. Lots of cherry in the nose and though the palate. The tart and funkiness starts at the beginning of the palate and continues all the way through to the finish. JStax (6509) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - OCT 13, 2014
My 100th sour/ wild rating. Yeah! Poured side BH side with the Maui version. This one was the better by far. Pours a clear, dark red brown with a beige head of foam thay fizzes out quickly. The aroma is dark cherry notes with juicy acidity. Mouthwatering. The taste is fruity and funky with a mediumevel of acidity. Medium body and medium carbonation. Delicious beer!
