On tap at MBGSF 2010. Dish soapy in the best possible way. Lots of bugspray, excellent lemon, indescribable. Well, kinda like if Lemon Pledge tasted good. drewbeerme (3920) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 22, 2009
at GTMW ’09. pours murky lemon with a white head. nose is lemon, hay, jp house funk. flavors are tart lemon a more muted funk to this, and lots of lemongrass in the finish. interesting. CUJO (383) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - AUG 31, 2009
Sample @ RNH: chalky, oily, sour... No orang or clove as expected. Very thin body, yet citrus... Almost lemon juice in beer... Oh yeah, where’s the wheat?! Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 25, 2009
On tap at GTMW. Poured milky pale golden with a short, but well-retained white head. The aroma picked up peppery yeast and lemongrass as expected over a soft, bready malt base.. well-presented. The lemongrass really took over in the flavor department and soured it up throughout (along with the oak).. some lighter fruits showed as well.. peppery and lemon on the dry, bitter finish. Lighter-bodied on the palate with filling carbonation.. the sourness was refreshing.. decent overall. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - AUG 24, 2009
(Draught) Pours a hazy pale yellow body with a small white head (lemonade like). Aroma of lemongrass, lemon, wheat, clove, and banana. Flavor of lemongrass, clove, wheat, herbal/grass, and lemon.

GTMW. Came for the Roja Kriek but stayed for the Lemongrass Weizen Bam. This was perhaps the biggest surprise of the Taste. Weizen bam was as delicious as I remember, but the lemongrass added an incredibly refreshing edge to the beer. Light and drinkable, this would be great in a bottle for summer. GTMW 2009: Very hazy faded golden hue with a small fading head. The aroma has notes of wheat husks, lemongrass, banana, clove, and moderate phenolic vapours. The taste has a nice tartness without becoming over the top, you can still taste the Weizen Bam quite easily. Spicy and herbal finish with a kiss of wood. The mouth feel is refreshing and lively, mouth watering making you want more. Slightly better than the Weizen Bam with Hibiscus, well done other than the awful appearance of the aforementioned beers. Very cloudy off white to wheat color w/ a whispy white head. Nice well coated palate. Aroma was very similar to the regular bam but with a heavy overtone of lemon grass and lemon zest, made ti smell much more crisp. Odd flavor a lightle tart lemon coming through some banana and nutmeg are still present but fade to a grassy finish. refreshingly crisp, and a little odd. pantanap (3366) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 13, 2009
gtmw09....pours muddy yellow with a thin white head.... somewhat refreshing aroma of lemon and wheat....flavors of tart lemon but the lemongrass totally overpowers which takes away from the brew imo. medium carbonoation and mouthfeel. not bad but i wouldn’t go back to it...
