COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The fourth in our Bam Farmhouse series, and perhaps our most adventurous; a traditional farmhouse style hefeweizen. Weizen Bam seamlessly blends traditional German style hefeweizen yeast with our own local wild and sour cultures, for a melange of the most flavorful sort. Ruddy golden, with yeast driven esters of banana, spicy clove, and nutmeg all wrapped up with a generous dose of good-natured rapscallion delight.

Bottled 07-30-2012: Light yellow color, slightly hazy, with a quickly diminishing fizzy white head. Aroma is citrusy and grassy and a little funky. Flavor has strong tart citrus and cherry, a bit spicy, and finishes clean with little lingering aftertaste. Good overall.

Bottle, shared with Parksy and Dave. Hazy bright yellow, effervescent white head. Lean and lemony with a firm lactic sourness. More sour than funky, but still very enjoyable.

A nice though odd hefe, soured so it has a Brett and banana flavor profile. Interesting.

Bottle: Hazy, pale straw, with medium head and a good lace. The nose is funky, meaty and rubbery. Theres a cheesy, creamy note. Not, fruit, malt or hops. The palate is very dry and sour. High acidity. Its fresh. Maybe a little funky. Medium length. Very sour example of a Farmhouse beer. The palate is better than the nose.

4 years aged for no real reason. Clear pale golden with a large rocky white head. Earthy woody funky sour nose with wheaty lactic slightly fruity nuances throughout thats mostly earthy and rustic and funky. High carbonation on the body with some mild wheat and pale Belgian malty flavors with a gentle funky estery tone with gentle orange and gentle pepper. A little funky bit bright and clean.

On tap at Hops & Pie. Cloudy, unfiltered and yellow appearance with an off-white head. Aroma of barnyard funk, earthy yeast, mild herbal spice and light banana/esters. Similar flavor, light, crisp and refreshing with a dry finish. Good,

Bottle, shared by Phil - thanks! Pale yellow-orange with small white head. Extremely fresh, citric and farmhouse-y, unripe apricot aroma, wheaty. Light sourness, acidity and stickiness - extremely well balanced. Crisp, lightish body, even somewhat watery on the palate. Lovely brew!
