On tap at the brewery. A nice golden straw color. Fresh tart smell with a pineapple floral aroma. Really pure refreshing taste upfront. With a nice slight sour. Really easy drinking. UPDATED: MAR 7, 2014 Growler: From Jeff, via Sean - thanks guys! Cloudy, murky, yet super-bright sunshine yellow... A few straw bubbles rise to the top, but no head to speak of. Possibly due to a week+ in a growler. Aroma of dusty wheat & generic grains, a light sourness backing things up with a mild fruitiness to accompany it... Mostly lemon & stone fruit. Small tartness comes through nice. Taste is just as you’d expect... A little tart spike on the palate right away with notes of lemon & light citrus with a small touch of lacto coming behind. A slight grainy & musty wheat aftertaste, but I’m not getting any salt from this. Could pass for a Berliner Weisse. Nice, refreshing, & crushable... Carbonation/appearance hurts the score a bit, but is probably due to the growler fill. Will re-rate if I have it on tap. Either way, it’s nice to finally see JP doing new things, & hopefully this trend continues.
