Black with little brown head. Aroma is pure raisins and faint hops. Taste is slight alcoholic dry bitter dark chocolate and raisins (minus sweetness) later. Low carbonation. Not exactly smooth either. Full body. A bit too dry for me. And a bit one dimensional. Also didnt like the alcohol. dutchdarthvader (193) - NETHERLANDS - JUL 9, 2017
MarcoBasile (429) - DENMARK - JUL 3, 2017
It pours a pitch black body with a two finger tan/beige head. The aroma is very roasty and dense! Grainy and kinda oaky as well. It being a stout at only 5.5% I don’t expect this to pack quite a punch, but the aroma really is strong so we’ll se about that! The taste comes out a little lighter than the aroma – in both flavour and mouthfeel. The roastyness is there. The sensation of a burning building is there. The bitterness too. But the mouthfeel is very light though. All the good flavors are there, but they disappear as quick as they get there unfortunately. I like the taste of this beer but it’s too thin to hold on to all the flavour for more than just a few seconds.

Pours dark brown with a lasting off-white head. Aroma is roasty. Clear coffee, sugars. Okay. Flavor is sweetish to dry. Roasted malts, hint of coffee. Okay, but a bit bland. Watery, yet creamy mouthfeel. Not bad, but definitely not that special. I expected more from an ’Extra’ Stout. kovica (285) - Zagreb, CROATIA - MAY 12, 2017

Copenhagen 7/5 2017. 33 cl bottle from Den Gamle Købmand. Pictogram of old Church on the label together with the information that Jopen is "Crafting Divine Beer". Pours opaque dark brown with small off-white head. Settles as thin almost transparent layer of foam. Very moderate lacing. Aroma is intense with dark fermented fruit, sweet lactose, cocoa and lightly roasted malts. Soft carbonation and slightly thick palate. Flavor is fairly sweet followed by medium bitterness. Fairly light stout. Actually refreshing - not often found in a Stout - and easy to drink. nathanvc (508) - Brugge, BELGIUM - APR 18, 2017
UPDATED: APR 25, 2017 Bottle from an Albert Heijn supermarket. Pours clear dark brown with a foamy, lasting, off-white head. The aroma contains roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, some spices, raisin and iron. It tastes medium sweet and medium bitter with a dry, bitter, roasted finish. Slick and watery texture, soft carbonation. Not really an ’Extra’ Stout, expected it to be more roasted, bitter and hoppy.
