(Jopen Ippon Weiss) Bottle 330 ml at home, served into a weizen glass, ABV 5.4% Orange coloured body, clear, with a small and thin white head, collapsing unexpectedly fast. Light wheat on the aroma and basically that’s it. Taste also of wheat, light sour notes, faint fruits somewhere on the very back. Thin body, watery, okay carbonation. Far from a german hefeweizen.

33cl bottle at home. Hazy golden with a medium white soapy head. Light to medium body with low to moderate carbonation. Medium sweetness with some bitter tones. Wheat, banana, hay and herbs. An ok hefeweizen.

On first sight a typical weizen beer. Hazy light-golden colour with a firm white head. Wheat and a slight citrus fruitiness make the weizen taste, the Jopen-own herbs make this a Jopen-weizen. A good beer with a definite own character. Something often missed in the category of weizen beers. A summer favorite.

Bottle. Pours a hazy light golden beer with a medium sized white head on top. Aroma of banana, fruity yeast and something strange. Quote bland and boring in the aroma. Flavor has some light lemon touches alongside some banana and subtle wheat. Typical hefeweizen in my book, only not all that impressive. Soft carbo, short light sweet aftertaste. Meh.

Bottle at home. Pours a hazy gold with a white head. Sweet, fruity aroma of banana and yeast. Taste is banana, yeast, bit of a hoppy, banana, aftertaste. Nice, but a bit on the thin side.

On tap at Arendsnest. Hazy very pale yellow pour with thin white head. Aroma is fruity, light banana, orange zest, light lemony notes. Taste is sweet, banana, light orange juice like tangy acidity. Palate is a bit thin, medium carbonation. Refreshing but has a few annoying off aspects that keep it from high levels of enjoyability.

Aroma of wheat, yeast and banana. Flavour is similar. A refreshing Hefeweizen, but a bit on the mediocre side.

Bottle from Biernavigatie. Poured a hazy light amber with a thin white head. The aroma is crisp dry yeast and light banana. The flavour is light sweet acid citrus with a yeasty banana veggie palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Not so bad but ultimately and average weisbier.
