Nice lasting head. Aroma: caramel, mango and orange, Quite sweet, some toasted malt, bitter. Aurelius (5294) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JUL 10, 2015
Caramel aroma with orange notes. Standard 11.2oz bottle, Christmasy label, slightly misty orange-tan. Huge, bone-colored head. Kind of bland, kind of thin. Perfumy/floral and soapy. Low bittering. A little disappointing. Thanks to Triock. tfredvik (1941) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUL 6, 2015
Cloudy, pretty dark amber body with a small, beige, long-lived head that leaves a good amount of lacing. Rather strong aroma of lightly roasted malt, spices and light hops. Quite strong flavour of roasted malt (including hints of coffee), spices, brown sugar, hints of burnt sugar and faint fruits (both overripe tropical fruits and dark dried fruits). Light sweet and moderate bitter taste. Quite light-bodied, dry and somewhat watery. Not too bad, but not especially interesting either. ElManana (2079) - Scheldewindeke, BELGIUM - JUN 30, 2015

Bottle shared with Erwin. Grains, little bitter, hoppy, refreshing, not bad. Alengrin (5255) - BELGIUM - JUN 29, 2015
Rye beer made for the church now used by Jopen, with medium thick, stable, lacing, off-white head and coppery amber colour with a haze of yeast, more cloudy with deposit. Weakish but flawless aroma of brown bread (the rye speaking), fresh toast, orange peel, peach, caramel, iron but in a ’good’, natural way, hints of strawberry and banana. Soft, ’clean’ fruity flavour, starfruit and peach, light citrus peel accent, softish carbonation, toasted maltiness with caramelly touch, ’deep’ and basic rye spiciness, light hoppy, earthy finish, medium bittering. Nothing too ambitious here in terms of flavour, but more than decent, well balanced and very enjoyable nevertheless.
