Red berry aroma. Also getting the sharp red berry in the taste too, but it’s got twigs too. Finish has a great dry bitter hop, which explains the twigs. Nicely attenuated, in fact rally well attenuated, it’s dry all over. Spiciness of the rye very clear, and adding to the bite all the time. God, I just had a taste flash which was quite weird, it was a spicy sauce that you migh have with a shashlik. Gonna bump it a point for that.
0.33L bottle. Pours hazy amber with a thick, off-white head that lingers with decent lacing. Aroma is primarily floral and citrusy hops, some mild soapiness and just a hint of the rye. Mild sweetness at beginning, but dominated by floral and herby hop flavor. In the middle, a dry, rye flavor comes through, which is the followed by a strong, dry, herby hop bitterness that lingers with hints of the rye continuing at the end along wiht alcohol in the chest. . Light body with a thin mouthfeel and active carbonation. Overall, this beer is primarily about hops. Some decent aromas, and the rye adds some different character, but not the most balanced beer as herby hop bitterness dominates. Thompson (707) - - OCT 10, 2014

On keg at Jopenkerk Haarlem - Muddy amber color with creamy head. The aroma has a moderate hop fruitiness, mango and light oranges; very nice. Smooth mouthfeel brings out some caramel flavour with an accent of cereals and toffee, quite strong bitterness, but cloying bittersweetness towards the end.

Appearance: A darkish, tan-colored beer with a slim, scant, ivory-hued head.
Smell: A scent of moderately toasted bread crust and flaked rye with a thin edge of sweet-scented caramel to it. Hops give a little orange, a little grapefruit as well as some spice.
Taste: Sufficiently sweetish, caramel glazed maltiness, predominately toasty with a subtle undertone of rye and vague, mild nuttiness. Citrusy, spicy, minutely resiny hops with ample bitterness to balance things out. The carbonation is livelier than expected, but it only serves to keep things moving nicely and give a little bump to the beers overall spiciness.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-plus carbonation.
Overall: Subtle but rather enjoyable.

Botella de 33 cl, adquirida en Slainte. Color ambar oscuro. Sabor a malta, ligeramente a caramelo y especiado, muy ligeramente a lupulo. DinkyBoy (22) - - JUL 10, 2014
Drinking date 07/10/2014 from bottle. Promising from the looks, a little hazy and amber, off white head. Aroma and taste are a bit of a guessing game, hard to define the character. Palate: creamy. Overall: not bad but wouldn’t buy or order again. SimonBeer (113) - Amersfoort, NETHERLANDS - JUL 6, 2014
(Drinking date: 6 July 2014) The beer looks good. Amber-coloured hazy beer with a small layer of white/beige creamy foam. Aroma nothing special. Bit of malts, yeast, spices and hops. Taste also nothing special. Just good. Bitter beer but not too bitter. Also spicy taste. The body of the beer is good. Bit soft/silky body. Medium to high carbonation, bit too much. This beer is nothing special. Just good beer. I wanted/expected more hops in this beer. Total score: 3.5!
