0.33l bottle. Malty aroma, spice notes, caramel, light fruit notes. Hazy brown color with amber shades, white head. Malty taste, caramel, spice, fruit notes, light alcohol notes, light bitter, extra light sweet notes. Full body, slick to oily texture, soft carbonation and malty ans spicy bitter finish with light alcohol notes. Ok.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a dark brown white a small head and an aroma of maple syrup, toffee, overripe plums, herbs, sweet malts and sweet apples. The taste is fullt sweet with a medium long herbal finish. Nice!

God traditionel ale, med masser af fylde og sødme. Frisk ismagen, men for meget alkohold

12 ounce bottle
A rather unusual release caught my eye while perusing the shelves during a recent trip to the store. Figuring the worst I had to lose was $3.99 I picked up a single. The resulting experience did just about cover though I won’t be hurrying to find many more.

Aroma / Appearance - A thick fizzy head takes time to settle into a maple colored core. Light melts away and morphs into waves of spices. If this had come out unlabeled you could almost have mistaken it for a Christmas ale. The full bodied whallops the senses until you finally break down and give it a sip.

Flavor / Palate - Chewy red licorice, spices, and walnut drive the focus of this earthy beer to the winter months. A well balanced profile melts the palate without being fatiguing. It doesn’t have the same memorable depth as some other beers with a similar profile but it will not be lost in the crowd.

Unusual taste but grew on me as the bottle went down. 8.5% so maybe only a couple a session. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
