Pours dark brown with a lacing brown head. Aroma is yeasty, dried fruit and roasted malt. Caramel malty flavour, slight yeast fruityness. Malty finish, slight sweet.
An unclear brown beer with a collapsing brown head. The aroma is yeasty and quite spicy. The flavor is sweet yeasty and very spicy, though I can’t pick out what spices, the alcohol also makes its mark by burning the mouth and leaving you with a warming fealing. joergen (28142) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUN 20, 2005

Bottled (from Cracked Kettle). Deep rubyish brown colour, small brownish bubbly head. Aroma is juniper, licorice, caramel and some mild notes of alcohol. Flavour is licorice, spices, caramel, fruits, malts and some cool wooden and herbal notes which stay in the throat. Very nicely balanced thing. omhper (25120) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - JAN 31, 2002
An unusual and fullbodied Dutch stout. Warming, spicy and complex. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUL 5, 2006
(Bottle 30 cl) Pours a pretty, clear red brown with a small, off-white head. Spicy, lightly herbal aroma. Rather flat carbonation. Medium-bodied, lightly tart with very spicy accents - mint and aniseed in particular. Very different and interesting. A "gruit beer". 300606 madmitch76 (24807) - , Essex, ENGLAND - APR 29, 2012

Clear red brown beer. Softish palate, fairly dry. A little chocolate in the malt. Herby fruits and a small amount of spice.
Bottle courtesy of 77ships, thanks! Hazy ruby red color, thick ponk jead. Aroma of softly sour root vegetables and cherries. Taste is bitter roots, herbs, cranberries.
