COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Of als after dinner bier natuurlijk!

Black with thick, dark, creamy head. Aroma initially offers some tiramisu and then more intense bitter roasted coffee and just a hint of smoke. Texture is thick and lucious. Flavour has plenty of dark malts and coffee. Really bitter. Gently warming alcohol.

Bottle, pours black with a beige head. Aroma: big coffee and some berries buried underneath. Taste: coffee, chocolate, heavy sweet liquorice, light smoke. Quite sweet and rich, sticky bitter finish. Boozy. It’s a bit too much really.

Bottle from Geers. Black colour, dark brown foam. Lots of coffee in the nose. Taste is bitter, roasty, dark chocote. Bitter and roasty taste, light caramel notes. Very good! Reminds me a lot of Beer Geek Breakfast.

330 ml bottle. Pours black with moderate head. Aromas of fresh ground coffee, nutty dark chocolate, vanilla, and oily roasted malts. Flavors of acidic black coffee with cream, licorice, dark chocolate, and more oily roasted malts. Very good.

Bottle @ home. Blacl colpur with a small light brown head. Smells roasty, oak, earthy, soysauce. Tastes earthy, roasty, chocolate, slightly salty, sloghtly liquorice. Full body, nice soft carbo.

Bottle from Burg, bottled 09 Jan 2017, 33 cl sample. Dark color, short frothy lacing. Aroma of lots of dark chocolate, spicy and earthy coffee, and a bunch of tobacco. Dark chocolatey bitterness, dry and spicy tobacco, bit coffee. Wow, never had this sensation of fresh van Nelle shag tobacco before. Weird, but interesting.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours pitch black with a small beige head and an aroma of strong black coffee, pure chocolate, sugar syrup, roasted malts, wheat and licorice. The taste is heavy sweet with some very nice roasty complexities. Very nice!

LCI. Uit de fles geschonken @DeRat. Prachtige imp stout met een heerlijke koffiesmaak, gerossterde mout en een beetje chocola. Heerlijk!

Gitzwart, snel zakkende crèmekleurige schuimkraag, beetje koolzuur, prima lacing. Aroma: Roasty koffie,  koffiebonen geroosterde mout, rozijnen, donker fruit, karamel, vanille. Volle body, zacht mondgevoel, roasty bitter finish. Veel beter als de Onheilsprofeet!

There is plenty of coffee and chocolate in this beer. That goes very well with the roasted malts. Some red fruits and vanilla come up. There’s caramel and a bit of licorice. I love the coffee in this one, not too strong yet very flavorful. I also love the balance. Nothing is too strong or not strong enough. Full bodied, carbonation ok. Lovely!
