Of als after dinner bier natuurlijk!

Deep dark roasted taste, deep coffee, oily, caramel, light dark fruit, dark chocolate. Really good. They are improving a lot lately

UPDATED: DEC 3, 2017 33cl bottle from Melgers Wijn en Dranken, Haarlem. Black with a medium sized beige coloured head which settles down quickly. Aroma of coffee, spices and chocolate malt. Full body and soft carbonation. Taste is spicy coffee, roasted malt, cocao nibs. Light bitterness with a smooth finish. Pretty good.

Big coffe stout with loads of coffee in the aroma. Very dark and a brown short layer of foam. In the taste some smokiness and a hint of vanilla. Big long lasting aftertaste that brings on the coffee again, nice soft coffee flavours though, not the instant coffee you sometimes get with coffee stouts.

Black with thick, dark, creamy head. Aroma initially offers some tiramisu and then more intense bitter roasted coffee and just a hint of smoke. Texture is thick and lucious. Flavour has plenty of dark malts and coffee. Really bitter. Gently warming alcohol.

Bottle, pours black with a beige head. Aroma: big coffee and some berries buried underneath. Taste: coffee, chocolate, heavy sweet liquorice, light smoke. Quite sweet and rich, sticky bitter finish. Boozy. It’s a bit too much really.

Bottle from Geers. Black colour, dark brown foam. Lots of coffee in the nose. Taste is bitter, roasty, dark chocote. Bitter and roasty taste, light caramel notes. Very good! Reminds me a lot of Beer Geek Breakfast.

330 ml bottle. Pours black with moderate head. Aromas of fresh ground coffee, nutty dark chocolate, vanilla, and oily roasted malts. Flavors of acidic black coffee with cream, licorice, dark chocolate, and more oily roasted malts. Very good.

Bottle @ home. Blacl colpur with a small light brown head. Smells roasty, oak, earthy, soysauce. Tastes earthy, roasty, chocolate, slightly salty, sloghtly liquorice. Full body, nice soft carbo.

Bottle from Burg, bottled 09 Jan 2017, 33 cl sample. Dark color, short frothy lacing. Aroma of lots of dark chocolate, spicy and earthy coffee, and a bunch of tobacco. Dark chocolatey bitterness, dry and spicy tobacco, bit coffee. Wow, never had this sensation of fresh van Nelle shag tobacco before. Weird, but interesting.

TrefwoordPunk (1340) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - MAY 26, 2017
Bottle 33 cl. Pours pitch black with a small beige head and an aroma of strong black coffee, pure chocolate, sugar syrup, roasted malts, wheat and licorice. The taste is heavy sweet with some very nice roasty complexities. Very nice!
