Draft at De Paas. Pours hazy orange with an off white head. Aroma if sweet malt, caramel and fruity hops. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation. MrHangover (4693) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - JUN 2, 2013
Draft @ de Paas. Pours a hazy orange beer with a good amount of white head on top. Aroma is yeasty, spicey and has some faint hop characteristics in it. Flavour however, is whole different story. Thick, yeasty residual sugary mess... It was like a big yeasty A-bomb going off. I returned the sample, asking if this is the way it should be. It turned out to be the final beer of the keg, with loads of residual yeast sediment in it. So I got a fresh one! Yay! Much better flavour, still a bit yeasty, but certainly fuller and better taste. Pretty decent ale, but I’ve had better from Jopen PotjeBier (3540) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - APR 23, 2013
On tap @ PRNH Meibock fest, with Borresteijn. Golden to amber color, slightly hazy. Dense, white to off white head. Aroma’s: citrussy hops, some coriander (not nearly as much as the regular Jopen Lente), with sweet malts, spices and some citrussy sourness retronasal. Flavor is medium sweet, medium bitter. Body is medium. Finishes with a nice bitterness. Borresteijn (7355) - Zaandam, NETHERLANDS - APR 21, 2013
On tap at PINT Meibockfestival ’13, thanks Potjebier for the sample! Not sure about the style, but this is a stronger hopped version of the regular Lentebier. Just slightly hazy golden orange colour, white head. Aroma of nice fresh hops, light weed, spruce, sweet malts, light coriander, light fruity. Flavour is medium sweet, malty, firm hoppy bitterness, weed, spruce, light fruity, light spicy, clean hoppy bitter finish. Nice hoppy beer, light-bodied.
