COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Until spring 2009 brewed by Huyghe for Jopen. Until 2006 brewed by Van Steenberge. Brewed with three grains: barley, oats and wheat, as requested in mediaeval Haarlem, fresh-bitterish hops and spicey coriander. Jopen Lentebier is unfiltered and gets a secondary fermentation in the bottle. A darker blonde beer with a fruity aroma and a fresh, fullbodied taste.

Fles. Bijzonder goed 'usa hopped' bier.

Springtime beer or IPA? The colour is hazy dark yellow /orange. When poured from a bottle there's almost no head, as wuite often with Jopen beers. For the taste the expectation was a medium sweet spring bock. This beer has more freshness and hops. Its close to IPA. Seriously not bad in spring! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle 33 cl. pours a hazy copper to orange with a small white head and an aroma of peach, syrup, candy sugar, raisin, honey and ripe fruits. The taste is sweet with a hoppy bitter finish. Nice!

330ml bottle from Beer Square Pours a deep opaque orange color with a small white head that disappears rather fast. Aroma is richly fruity with notes of apricot, dried peach, sultanas, orange, tangerines, honey, candy sugar and some spice. Unexpected and pretty enjoyable. Taste is sweet and fruity with touches of spice. Flavors of orange, honey, nuts, sultanas, apricots, peach marmalade and maybe coriander. Very nice, solid and flavorful. Medium body, a bit oily. Low carbonation. Long aftertaste. A very nice, different brew.

Bottle. Dark hazy orange. Good head. Smell: some lemons, yeast, grassy. Taste: fruity (lemons, oranges), grainy, bitter. Refreshing and sparkling. Yeasty-chewy. Sour. Good mouthfeel thanks to oats and wheat. I couldn’t taste the coriander. Alright. Felt more like a mix of a Witbier and a Saison, rather than a Belgian Strong Ale.

0.33l bottle. Hazy deep orange body, white head. Aroma of bread, orange zest, toffee and grassy hops. Taste of bread, caramel, orange zest, grassy hops and grapefruit. I like it.
