A very nice dunkelweizen. Nice sweet taste, with a dark body and smooth aftertaste. Cassius (93) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - JUL 27, 2013
Heerlijk zomers witbier. Hopping maar toch zoetig. Kleur mooi honingtroebel. Goed voor warme avonden en lichte maaltijden. Teran (327) - Belgrade, SERBIA - FEB 12, 2016
Murky orange with white top. In Serbian Malle Babbe meaning is Little Grandmothers. I do not know the Dutch word root. Banana and citrus, Belgian yeast. Low in alcohol and simple I would say for this kind of beer. Christos (5696) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - APR 8, 2013
300 ml bottle at home, Seems Jopen is switching to the "pipje" bottle. Poured into a weizen glass. ABV 5.5%. 1,45€
Very deep orange colour, or very light amber. Lots of activity in the bottle, two full fingers of slighty off-white head, with very good retention and nice lacing left on the glass.
Aroma mostly of bubblegum, followed by the wheat. Some light banana smell on the background too.
The taste is great and much different than every other weizen I had till now. More of a citrus flavours upfront, wheat follows but less notable than other examples, the typical bubblegum and banana are there but are coming out at the very end, balancing the citrus and leaving the sweet aftertaste weizens typically have. Very nice, extra refreshing.
Medium thin on the body, good amount of carbonation.
Overall a nice surprise, making the style far more appealing, at least to me. jerohen (2277) - Bussum, NETHERLANDS - NOV 30, 2013
Bottled from biernavigatie.nl Slightly hazy dark golden colored, off-white head. Fruity nose, hops, some wheat. Malty flavor, later on some wheat, some bitterness, hardly any sweetness. Medium to thin bodied. Easy to drink beer, quite clean. Nice brew.

Aroma: citrus and herb mostly. Appearance: lightly red clear; Taste: ginger and banana in aftertaste and slightly floral and woody at first. Palate: Light, thin and lively carbonation. This is a nice beer to drink with light food or alone. SinH4 (4711) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - MAR 2, 2016
Bottle courtesy of Douberd, many thanks! Hazy orange color with big tan head, not as dark as expected from a Dunkelweizen. Aroma is fresh citrus fruits, a "Frühlingswiese" like hoppiness, some green apple skin. Taste is fruity-hoppy, again apples, some yeasty spiciness, fine-bubbled, but high carbonation, silky mouthfeel. A nice and sessionable hoppy Weizen, I like this one very much! After a few minutes, a bit of a tangy booziness comes into play, but it’s still okay. Luckily (and now understandably), this one is sold in small bottles. Jack1611 (52) - NETHERLANDS - MAR 24, 2016

On keg at Jopenkerk Haarlem - Hazy orange golden body, small frothy lacing white head, vanishes quickly. Sweet wheaty and fruity nose, banana, dough, coriander, citrus, a bit of vanilla. Taste is mildly sweet, similar to a banana split, a little wheaty. Very creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice one. goozen (4048) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - JUL 27, 2012
Tap at Jopenkerk, Haarlem: Hazy amber coloured brew with an slightly citrus taste. Very good summer thirstquencher, maybe the rating will be lower in colder times.
