Svesse (8825) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - MAR 12, 2014
(Draught at Jopenkerk, Haarlem, 27 Feb 2014) Reddish brown colour with dense, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with caramel, dried fruit and hints of dark cherries. Malty, fruity taste with notes of caramel, dried fruit, candy sugar and a balanced spicy bitterness in the finish. Full body, well rounded mouthfeel. Fairly sweet. Tasty and quite well balanced for its strength. Nice one.

Poured medium reddish amber with a dense tan head. Aroma of sweet citrus, light berries and soft malt. Full body, flavour of alcohol soked dark fruit, caramel malt, lingering alcohol burn. Better with a couple of years barrelling.

mike_77 (7136) - Breda, NETHERLANDS - FEB 21, 2014
Aroma is a bit woody and has some gin-like boozy aromatics. Smooth texture and a rich, warming feel. Dry, woody, boozy, sweet.

thanatosti (1808) - Culemborg, NETHERLANDS - FEB 15, 2014
33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Mitra, Tiel. Copper colour with a small off-white head. Hoppy aroma with some caramel. Taste is bittersweet with some wood, oak, in it. The alcohol is present but very well hidden nonetheless. Although I love most Jopen beers and like this one it isn’t the best I ever had, the overall aroma and taste are not entirely to my liking. Still, this is a skillfully brewed beer.

DJoer (1291) - NETHERLANDS - FEB 13, 2014
Dark brown colour, medium light brown head, sweet caramel hoppy pineapple harsh reasins citrus smell a remarkable harmonie of the used hops, liquorise high grapefruit like bitter syrup texture, sweet fruity reasons like taste, alcohol is noticeable, oaky hints and some sour notes in the start

Hele hoppige neus bij het uitschenken. Mooie donkere kleur. Eerste slok is rijk, vol en de afdronk blijft lang hangen. Een heel mooi bier.
