Bottled, Nov 13, large sample. Clear copper color, medium light brown head. Aroma of caramel malt, raisin, hint of chocolate, bit spicy. Sweet taste, hint of vanilla. Bit flowery and citrussy. Quite boozy. Pretty thick body, sirupy. Interesting brew, flavors go pretty much all the way at the moment. Probably improves with some age. RW80 (2659) - Hoogeveen, NETHERLANDS - DEC 24, 2013
30 cl bottle (shared)
appearance: Clear red brown with a light beige head. leaving some lacing.
Aroma: Alcohol, toast, caramel, dried red fruits (Raisins and plums), oak (quite sweet)
Taste: Caramel, Dried fruits a bit of oak, spcices and some alcohol.
Starts sweet then shows up a bit of more of the taste palate which doesn’t glue that well before it ends with a very Artificial candy sweetness and bitter maltyness. Not sure if this can be balanced out over time. But I will give a shot.
medium body and cabonation.
The candy artificial sweetness is really for me a dealbreaker. But even then I don’t see this comming close to the quality of the meesterstuk versions of the years before it.

Clear red brown. Light beige head. Aroma is an interesting combo of alcohol and (fresh grassy) hops. Taste still has a sharp alcoholic edge. Beneath that there’s a rather smooth beer with notes of portwine, overripe fruit, christmas candies. Creamy, almost buttery mouth feel, pleasant carbonation. Good beer, that will probably become even better when aged a few months.
From a wooden barrel at Jopen Winterbierfestival, TFS Thijs! Clear reddish amber-brown colour, light-beige head. Aroma of alcohol, almost glue-like, nice hops, toast, caramel, confit fruits. Flavour is medium-sweet, malty, caramel, raisins, hint of toast and chocolate, firm bitterness from both citrussy hops and almost biting alcohol, just light spicy, bitter hoppy finish. Fullbodied, fat, boozy. I liked this quite a bit. Aethien (51) - NETHERLANDS - DEC 13, 2013
Dark, muddy brown colour with a cream coloured head. Aroma of caramel, vanilla, roasted malts, raisins, a little of the oak and some yeasty spiciness, complex and wonderful. The taste, unfortunately, is not as good as the aroma, a little sharp without all the depth and a roasty and sour oak flavour in the back. This definitely needs time to develop and take off some of the rough edges with age. skortila (5967) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - DEC 9, 2013
Bottled. Full 33cl sample. The aroma has alcohol, lots of raisin, green apple, caramel. I have bad ight, but what I can see it is a clear reddish brown beer, with a thin-medium off-white head. The taste is very sweet, has caramel, raisin, apples. Really young and unbalanced, this one needs at least a year and then it’ll probably be much better. To be rerated, if I can find another bottle. :-) dutchbeerpages (2439) - Wilnis, NETHERLANDS - DEC 8, 2013
Great aroma. Raisins, dried fruit, maybe some pineapple. Very warming, maybe a little too fizzy. Perfect for a cold night. Well done!
