Red brown, min, some bitterness, reasonable finish. .imal head. Aroma is sweetish, with a slight nutty aroma. Sweet taste, with reasonable body, nuts again. Reasonable bock, not that special

bottle, courtesy of mowbeer and joes. clear dark amber with a minimal head; aroma hints at chestnut and hazelnut; somewhat flat texture with some tinny bockish bitterness and the toffee nutty character not exactly blending in seamlessly

A real disappointment after the great notenbock Hazelnoot. This beer did not taste extraordinary in any way.

MarcoDL (5103) - NETHERLANDS - FEB 21, 2014
Tasty bock beer, chestnut really adds something good to the roasted malt and dark fruits of a dark bock.

TBone (17779) - Pori, FINLAND - NOV 22, 2013
Bottled 330ml Tnx Edo. Dark ruby color, small off-white head. Sweetish malty aroma with hints of vanilla and toffee. Medium-bodied. Dryish, some wood - kastanja, malty, raisins. Boring flavor.

Poured from a bottle of last year’s stock. Not too dark for a bock, brown color, with a thin beige head that I wouldn’t call foamy at all. Smell is like a bock, but lightly sour. First taste doesn’t stand out, except for a little sourness. Medium carbonation, only a little bocky-ness in the taste, not really the dark winter taste I expected. Nuts? I don’t taste any ... Oh, wait! Yeah, about a minute after swallowing a nut-like taste lingers in my mouth, and it’s actually quite pleasant. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this beer, it wouldn’t be my first pick, but I would drink it if someone gave it to me. I would even enjojy it.

Bottle, leftover from previous bock season. Pours a hazy burgundy red colored beer with a small, light beige head on top. Aroma is certainly nutty, malty and touches of fruits. Chesnus aroma is picked up, but only because I know it’s supposed to be there. Flavor is medium sweet, fruity and nutty. Very malty, light sweet and short finish. Nice beer, chesnut influences become bigger and better recognizeable when the beer has warmed up a bit. Nice.

Clear chestnut colour, tan head. Sweet caramel aroma. Taste is like a herfstbock, rather sweet and malty, with caramel. Are there any nuts? Not sure, maybe if you try really hard...body is a bit watery, carbo ok.
