American Quadrupel aged in Cognac barrels for 101 days. Aged in cognac barrels, the hoppiness of the beer faded uncovering the slight roasted and caramel flavors of the malt.

Bottle (from hetbiermoment). Pours deep ruby with beige head. Aroma is sweet, caramel, molass, malt, sugar. Flavor is sweet, fruits, malt. bitterness, some acidity, tannins, oak, dryness. Finish is fruity, acidic and oaky dry. Overall: very good. There is something bit off about it, but I'm still liking it a lot.

(Jopen Ongelovige Thomas BA Cognac) Bottle 330ml at home,ABV 10% Brown coloured body with red hues when hold against the light, small and thin tan head on top. Aroma of caramel, dark fruits, malts, some spices too, I don't get much of the cognac. Taste is sweet with caramel and dark fruits again, sugars, light spirits, alcohol, again cognac not so clear. Medium thin body, soft carbonation. Good, not much different than the standard version though.

Semi-hazy ruby-brown pour with a thin beige head. Notes of toffee, dried fruit, figs, raisins, caramelized apples, overripe apples, smooth sherry, cognac, a bit of vanilla and mould. Super smooth texture, full body, sweet but also a bit bitter finish. Good stuff! I’m a fan of Ongelovige Thomas and this BA variant is right up my alley.
