Aroma: Aquavit, roasted dark malts, smoky, juniper. Aroma: jet black and creamy head. Taste: smoky, roasted dark malts, Aquavit, chocolate, juniper, semi-dry. Palate: medium body and medium carbonation. Overall: really good BA RIS, I am surprised that Aquavit BA, in this particular case, sounds really good.

Pours dark brown, well you can say it's black. Just a bit of beige foam there, skirmish really. Nose is boozy, herbal alcohol, medicinal aquavit - just like going to a drugstore. Tastes actually rather mellow, some roast ans dark dried fruits, everytging coated with heavy and oily herbal booze. Special one for sure, full bottle of it (which I have) seems daunting though.

Rami Rami is drinking an Onheilsprofeet BA Aquavit by Jopen at Kamienica Hoża 41 Jest olejna. Jest alkoholowo. Ale nadal jest calkiem smacznie, dziwnie, przyprawowo. Wynalazek. Chyba nie jestem fanem beczek po AQuavicie
Rami Rami: Na cieplo aldehyd (o ile to aldehyd) jeszcze gorzej :( e

(Jopen Onheilsprofeet (Aquavit BA)) Tap at cafe Beugel, Arnhem and bottle at home, served into a snifter, ABV 12.5% Pitch black colour on the body, small and thick brown head on top. The aroma has alcohol, roasted malts, dark fruits, berries. TAste has strong medicinal alcohol, roasted malts, chocolate, mocha, spirits, dark fruits, dates, dried figs. Medium thick body. Quite good, too boozy at moments though.

Bottle, 12.5%. Very dark brown with tiny beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, aquavit, chocolate, pepper and spices. Flavour is roasted malt, chocolate, pepper, little aquavit, spices, herbs, sweet, warming, liquorice and a little bitter.

mariuspoenari (2969) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - OCT 6, 2017
Very dark brown pour with a thin tan head and visible carbonation. Notes of aquavit, apple peel, oxidized apples (the ones that you peel and leave for a couple of hours on a plate), dark chocolate, gin, vodka, light peat and smoke, anise star. Quite alcoholic, the barrel notes overshadowing the base stout almost to a point where you feel like you're drinking aquavit.

Mooie zwarte kleur met een goede kraag. Ruikt zoetig koffie, drop. Smaakt vol, drop, beetje peated.

neongolden (1821) - Linköping, Sweden/Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 12, 2017
(330ml bottle from Slijterij Groningen Vismarkt) Pours black with a small deep tan head that nearly vanishes. Aroma of dark smoky malt, cedar wood, juniper berry, quite herbal, floral peppery quality, liquorice, cacao, spirit. Flavour is quite spirit dominated, there's some sweet brown sugar at the core but it's fairly dry, quite smoky roast, heavy herbal bitters quality, liquorice, pepper, a bit of dry chocolate and berry. Finish is dry, with aquavit, tart berry, light pepper, powdery roast and slightly salty herbs. Medium bodied, low carbonation, a little drying alcohol. Rather unique given the combination of barrel and adjuncts, happy to split the bottle but it's an interesting brew. Can see it being very polarizing.

4.5
Lore (2894) - Budapest, HUNGARY - AUG 19, 2017
deep dark brown colour, moderate sized creamy beige head; aroma of dark chocolate, slightly burnt coconut, pear and herbal notes; taste of dark chocolate, pear, smoked woody-peat notes and some coconut; excellent imperial stout!

3.7
Desverger (12907) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - AUG 19, 2017
[email protected], Copenhagen (25/06/2017) - black with a tan head. Sweet roasted malty with some chocolate prominence, some caramel and toffee, some brown sugar, some nutty accents, light berry fruit, Auqavit soaked wooden nuances in the close.
