Bottle from Mam and Dadís holiday, Netherlands. Black with a large tan head of foam. It has a chocolate and smoked beechwood flavour with oak, vanilla notes and more smoked malt on the smooth, creamy finish. Very good.

UPDATED: JAN 19, 2017 Pronounced smell. Not necessarily high bitterness, but with this being bone dry, the bitterness is quite present. Dark chocolate, iron, herbaceous notes, bay leaf, liquorice. I would have liked the slightest sweetness for some relief.

Again a balanced beer from Jopen. There is a strong sweet smell licorice alike. The taste is sweet but in nice balance with the bitter. Not a fast drinkig beer but one to enjoy on a late night dinner.
