Cask at In de Wildeman. Not sure which batch. Tasted side-by-side with the Zwart Witte, their spiced porter. Clear deep brown colour, no head. Aroma of hot chili peppers, not much else. Flavour is light malty, hint of roast, then quickly overtaken by an immense burning heat in the mouth and throat that lingers quite a bit. No other flavours to be detected anymore. Light-bodied. Cask at the Haarlem Beer Festival 2013. Poured a dark brown colour with a very thin off-white head. The aroma is weak dry earthy. The flavour is weak bitter, with a little citrus fruit and a whole load of spicy chilli, pepper and coriander which totally dominates the beer. Chilli heads will love it. Others won’t. Batch 2 - Bock
Cask released at Haarlem beer festival 2013 and incorrectly merged with below. Pours hazy brown with a small tan head. Aroma of chilli peppers upfront, light roast, caramel. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with the peppers dominating the palate and burning the back of the throat. Medium bodied with flat carbonation.

Draft released only at the Arendsnest 12.5 year event. Pours very dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of fairly strong chilli peppers, behind the intense chilli is subdued roasted notes and chocolate, maybe some fruit. Mouthfeel is dominated by the chilli as well, with an initial burn going into a long hot finish that warms the back of your throat and gradually burns your lips more and more as you drink it, like enjoying a good curry. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Lovely, challenging beer!
Mostly interesting for what it does than how it tastes. It smells like green peppers and the first sip is just that. Takes a while for th scotch bonnet to kick in but it does, in the back of the throat.

(draught) pours black in colour, with a frothy light beige head. aroma of roasted malts, red peppers and toasted bread, with a hint of peaches and vanilla. flavour is dominated by chilli, with underlying notes of roasted malt, light caramel, dark chocolate and herbal hops. medium-bodied with soft carbonation.
