(750ml bottle) clearish dark amber, soapy offwhite bubbles. Nose of caramel, raisin, oak, rich, but not my favorite. Taste of raisin, alcohol, burnt caramel, marshmallow, rich but too alcoholic overall, even with the age.

flesje van 3 jaar oud

donker (karamel)/bruin met schuimige kaki kraag

aroma: chocolade, koffie, toffee, caramout, gebrande mouten, iets floraals, noten, overrijp fruit, rozijnen.

smaken: zwaar zoet, redelijk bitter, zeer sterke smaken, donker fruit (pruim/rozijnen), stevig gemout (caramout en gebrande mouten), lichte koffie, karamel, toffee, stevige chocolade

volle body, romig, stevig alcoholisch en stevige smaken, mooi artwork op de fles

zacht in de mond met stevige smaken, chocolade bitterheid, zeer lekker !

From bottle @ Jopenkerk. Color is brown, somewhat hazy. Beige head, sticky. Aroma’s: alcohol, raisins, sweet/dried fruit, slightly old (well, it’s 2 years old...), alcohol. Flavor is sweet, caramel. Strong alcohol feel, full body. Long finish, with no new flavors. Well developed.

Light hints of fruit in the smell, good body and carbonation, but the taste lacks a bit.

Tap @ KBC ’11 Den Bosch. Pretty much an average beer. Not bad to drink but also not very special. Drink it, rate it, forget it.
