UPDATED: JAN 23, 2018 bottle, exp. date was 08.16 so its really mature. aroma: fruitty jam in wood and alcohol, cherry-
vanilla cake, caramel and toasted bread. full body, sweet but counterponched with light hippy and alcohol bitterness. beer is verry complex, notes of oxidation are pleasant, alcohol is magically warming your belly and relax your body. hauxe (1154) - Butzbach, Hesse, GERMANY - DEC 8, 2017
From the bottle. Probably a 2016 from wombat23. Pours brown with an off-white crown that lingers. Copious lacing. Aroma is probably more oak than I have ever smelled in a beer before. Smells like an outdoor lumberyard after a rainstorm. No, not fresh oak. Rather, it reminds me of old furniture that’s been rained on. A bit of searching reveals subtle vanilla and caramel undertones. Taste is sweet, full of caramel and toffee but with an oak astringency that is a overdone. Finishes warm and full of oak. Body is medium to full, carbonation is mild, very warming and alcoholic but the ABV stays fairly well disguised. Overall good but I would like to see a broader range of flavors. drmet (1089) - GERMANY - OCT 15, 2017
-pours a cloudy ruby-brown with medium,frothy,offwhite head
-yeast crumbs visible
-medium to high bitterniss for the style
Good Oak-influenced Quad.
The Aroma Hops (mainly Simcoe) add a soapy note that i dont particularly want in a Quad.
The rest is nice though.

33cl bottle. Clear dark amber pour with a light tan head. Notes of bourbon, vanilla, dried fruit, toffee, caramel, wood, very subtle smoke. Quite a complex beer, really nice. Smooth texture, light carbonation, mostly sweet finish. DrNosha (3030) - Wrttemberg, Germany, GERMANY - APR 28, 2017

Pours dark brown with a minimal white head. Aroma is hops and fruits. Faint spicy kick. Not bad, but nothing special also. Taste is mildly sweetish, candy-like. Clear vanilla, some "bitterkoekjes" as well. Interesting. Aftertaste is mildly bitter with a sweetisch kick. Pretty balanced with some interesting tasty tones. Full bodied, sticky, bit oily texture. Far from bad brew. Not a tenner, but definitely worth a try. Mister_Li (1763) - GERMANY - APR 20, 2017
Trübes dunkelbraun mit durchschnittlicher Schaumkrone. Malzig, süßlich, leicht fruchtig, dunkle Beeren, Pflaume, etwas Vanille, minimale Holznoten.
