November 11th 2009 is our 15th anniversary. To celebrate this we brewed Jubeljoop III. We let our consumers decide what kind of beer it should be. Triple has won with 36% of the votes, second was IPA with 24%. Of course we gave this triple our own touch. This 9% triple was based on the recipe for our historic Hoppenbier (recipe dated 1501). Jubeljoop III will be availabe from November 11th 2009 til November 11th 2010. Brewed with barley and rye.

hazy yellow colour, medium sized dense off-white head; aroma of grains, floral notes, some fruits (peach?) and Belgian yeast; taste is the same; good and refreshing tripel, though not really extraordinary

33cl bottle picked up at Melgers Wijn en Dranken in Haarlem and consumed on 25-June 2016. Clear golden amber colour with a small off-white head. Aroma of sweet fruit, grain, spices and dry hops. Medium body and carbonation. Typical triple taste, but permeated by alcohol. Light bitterness, with rye and some hops on the palate. Nice, but a little unbalanced. Flavour completely overwhelmed by the high ABV.

The beer has a simple look. The color of the beer is golden yellow and there is a massive cloudiness. The beer pours a nice layer of soft white foam, that remains on top of the beer for quite some time. The beer has a little watery look, like it was thinned with water. The smell of the beer is simple and a little watery to. There is a little bitterness and a tiny hop aroma. The smell is so mild, that it is a little disappointing. I aspected a little more. The taste of the beer is better, even good. There is a nice sourness in the beer. This accompanies a strong bitterness and a good, typical tripel taste. The taste is just as i aspected from the name and way better than the smell, which was to simple. The beer has a nice amount of gas to it.

33cl bottle. Hazy orange, with a white head that gives way to a thick lacing. Smells of Belgian yeasts, bananas, spices and honey. Bitter-sweet and herbal taste, with notes of herbal hops, lemon zest, bananas and spices.
