COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"Witte Rook" is onze gerookte blonde Weizenbock. Dit blonde bier wordt gebrouwen als eerste brouwsels van het jaar. Het bier is dan rond de vastentijd gereed om te drinken. Het aroma van de Witte Rook is bepaald door een met beukenhout gerookte mout, wat een zacht spekachtig aroma oplevert. Dit combineert goed met de fruitige aroma’s van de Weizenbock.

Witte Rook was in 2011 het eerste Jopen bier dat in de kerk gebrouwen werd en is nu een seizoensmatig terugkerend bier geworden. Het bier wordt in kleine hoeveelheden op fles afgevuld.

Unclear - hazy matt medium orange yellow color with a average, speaking, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, wheat, smoke, moderate yeasty, spicy, plastic, kemi, medicine, band-aid. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet with a average to long duration, sweet malt, smoke, kemi, sweet. A tapped wooden barrel atop the bar at Arends Nest. Hazy gold beer, little white head. Light palate. A little dry. Low carbonation. Sweetish malt - somewhat tripel like. Mellow smoke, clear and present but never overwhelming. Nicely judged! Finishes a tiny bit dry with a trace of bubblegum and some subtle wood. Alright - fresh pleasant drinking smoked beer.
