Arends Nest, Amsterdam. Keg. Hazy reddish amber beer, small bubbly cream colour head. Palate is light, dry and crisp. Crisp caramel - toffee malts, not that sweet. Floral bitterness and a little dry orange citrus. Light finish. A curious DIPA, more malt balance than normal but it tasty and drinkable.
Keg at Arendsnest, De Dam, 25/09/14.
Dark amber with reddish hues topped with a modertate beige covering that retains as a swirl and edgeing.
Nose is big on caramel malt, pine, candied fruit, sweet tunes, bitter tropicana, brown sugar.
Taste comprises sweet licks but tempered with bitter hops, demerera sugar, bitter orange, candy cane, caramel malt, pine.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with some hop bitterness but dominated by malt.
Ok DIPA but a little overly malty for me. DSG (15432) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - OCT 12, 2014
[9/29/14] Bottle at Arendsnest in Amsterdam. Aroma of malt, caramel, dark fruit, yeast and some hops. Sweet flavor, malty, caramelly, with yeast, mild hops and a bitterish finish, a bit citric. Medium-bodied. Fin (11067) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - SEP 28, 2014
Had this at Arendsnest Amsterdam, Netherlands, Sunday 28th September 2014. Pours reddy brown, murky with an off white rim. Soft in mouth, bitter, really twangy, mmhhh.. I have to say I am.underwhelmed, ok its a DIPA but it ain’t doing much for me at all. Its fruity but lacks a real crisp punchy bite. A6 A3 T6 P3 Ov12 3.0

33cl bottle shared with a friend at home. Pale amber/red brown with a small white head. Medium to full body with moderate carbonation. Very present bitterness with sweet tones. Brown sugar, caramel, wood, spices, herbs and hops. A decent full flavoured IPA. jmgreenuk (10378) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - AUG 27, 2014
Bottle from the Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Poured a clear dark amber with a thin white head. The aroma is big woody resin hop. The flavour is strong bitter with a super nettle hop, citrus, light alcohol palate. Medium bodied with light carbonation. They definitely dropped the hop bucket in this one. Tonight I discovered that a beer really can have too many hops.
