Deep dark brown colour with steady head and medium to smooth body. Nose of malt. Taste of drak roasted nuts, rosmary, rich malt, mild hops, dark bread and caramel. Very easy and nice to drink. Good and solid Dunkel.

Countbeer (6599) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - MAR 7, 2012
Bottle: Medium vast light tan creme head on top of a dark amber colored beer. Smell soapy chocolate malts, caramel and barley. Taste light toasted malts, toasted barleys, caramel, some toffee, dark fruits, raisin, hay and some herbs. Light bitter dark grainy dark fruity aftertaste. Low to medium carbo, soft mouthfeel, light creamy body and a medium watery texture.

MichaelAwesome (6545) - Wanne-Eickel, GERMANY - APR 14, 2013
Ein im Grunde übliches Dunkel, das unauffällig, leicht süffig und süßlich daherkommt. Gute Wertarbeit, welche jedoch keine Rakete ist.

Emil (6064) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAR 8, 2006

Deep reddish colour with a beige head. Light roasted malty aroma with a note of bread and a sweet fruityness. Roasted malty, but quite bland flavor.

BeerViking (5041) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 25, 2013
Bottle, dark red-brown with a lasting fine off-white head. Roast malty nose with hints of toffee and green apple, roasty and slightly sweet with a burnt caramel edge. Malty but drier and slightly burnt-bitter aftertaste. Nice example.

Zlotta (3814) - Hagen / Düsseldorf, GERMANY - JAN 31, 2017
0.5 l bottle from ’Biermuda’, best before June 2017. Very dark, reddish brown with a medium large, foamy, stable, beige head. Sweetish, malty, slightly fruity aroma of caramel, nuts and hints of raisins. Sweetish, malty and a bit fruity taste of caramel, nuts, some chocolate and hints of raisins, followed by a short, moderately bitter, a little roasty and slightly earthy finish. Thin to medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Pleasant, well-made Dunkel!

kiwianer (3428) - Otorohanga, NEW ZEALAND - NOV 4, 2011

RW80 (2747) - Hoogeveen, NETHERLANDS - OCT 10, 2015

Light toasted malt nose, dark brown color, tall fluffy head. Light caramel flavor at first, faint woody end. Thin body. Very light, but certainly good. A swilling dunkel...
