This is a really good Märzen... really really good. Almost Bavarian the afficianado would elaborate. I like it - sometimes the simplest beers hit the mark Josef’s Märzen simply works.

Zlotta (3273) - Hagen / Düsseldorf, GERMANY - JAN 23, 2017
0.5 l bottle from ’Biermuda’, best before May 2017. Clear, dark amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, slightly malty, a bit grassy aroma of honey and straw. Rather sweet, malty, just slightly grassy-spicy taste of honey, straw and hints of butter, followed by a short, minimally bitter finish. Medium body, slightly oily mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Tastes like a diluted Heller Bock, quite disappointing after their good Kellerbier.

caesar (7133) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - DEC 7, 2015
Bottle from Edeka Winterberg, small sample. Clear amber to copper color, short head. Aroma of some toffee and caramel, slight spicy, bit grassy. Bit bitter in taste, slight sweet. Like a german version of Palm.

Koelschtrinker (20395) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 9, 2015
Malziger, etwas herber Antrunk. Weich, trocken malziger Mittelteil, süffig, insgesamt wenig interessant. Trinkbar. 9/9/8/8/9/9

Beerhunter111 (20468) - P´Castle, GERMANY - DEC 18, 2014
Leicht trübes orangegoldenes Bier mit einer geringen leicht beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch kräftig malzig, leicht fruchtig, Karamell. Geschmack sehr malzig, Karamell, etwas fruchtig, ok!

Erzengel (8721) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - NOV 17, 2014
* Old rating, 0,5l, best before 24.02.06. Mild-malziges Bier. Tiefer als erwartet, schön weiche malzige Süße, Hauch von Röstmalz, lecker mild und weich im Nachgeschmack.

POLK (2219) - Hørning, DENMARK - JUL 22, 2014
Smell and taste of wet bread with a slightly bitter and slightly strong aftertaste. Easy creamy munfølelse. Sweet. great snow colored foam providing lace.

BeerViking (4781) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 25, 2014
Amber-brown with a foamy white head and light notes of apple and toffee. Body is sweet, albeit with a dry bitter overlay. Caramel and peppery hops. OK but a bit dull.
