MoritzF (10199) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - APR 4, 2006
(swing top bottle) Hazy orange-amber colour with a stable foamy yellow head. Sweet malty aroma mixed up with strong notes of sourdough and a touch of fruitiness (apricots). Moderately sweet malty taste, yeasty fruity notes, medium body and carbonation, slightly floral hoppy, light bitter finish with some spice in the aftertaste (nuts, herbs, lavender). Very good and unconventional Märzen.

JorisPPattyn (10112) - BELGIUM - NOV 6, 2005
Huge yellow-beige head; amber beer with olive highlights. (Dark German) bread, sourdough, ending sweet-nutty, crème de noix . Quite bitter, autumn leaves, earthy flavours, background is again bready with some sweetness, but sourdough impression is gone. Has some Bock-like aspirations. This is way better than most Märzens. Medium bodied, refreshing. Hops on the aftertaste, again leafy. Extremely good example of the style. Big thanks to joss.

* Old rating, 0,5l, best before 24.02.06. Mild-malziges Bier. Tiefer als erwartet, schön weiche malzige Süße, Hauch von Röstmalz, lecker mild und weich im Nachgeschmack.

jonas (8277) - Garching close to the monks, GERMANY - SEP 10, 2005
Dark amber, tanned foamy head. Honeyish, nutty and delicate hoppy and spicy aroma. Medium to light body. Focus on spicy malt (nuttyness), but has a quite elegant hop counterpoint. Dry wooden bitterhop aftertaste. Rather nice.

motelpogo (8031) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - NOV 2, 2013
bottle, looking nothing like in the picture, picked up at ambrosetti in berlin. amber with a thin head; nutty grain aroma; simple flavours - caramel and a tinny, lightly bitter finish

caesar (7392) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - DEC 7, 2015
Bottle from Edeka Winterberg, small sample. Clear amber to copper color, short head. Aroma of some toffee and caramel, slight spicy, bit grassy. Bit bitter in taste, slight sweet. Like a german version of Palm.

McTapps (6984) - Reutlingen, GERMANY - APR 16, 2013
Deep golden colour with low ehad and medium body. Nose of malt. Taste of mild hops, bitter oranges, hay, cloves, thyme and ripe grains. Easy to drink, goes down very well and is really quaffable and refreshing. Good and solid beer but just no big burner.

MichaelAwesome (6546) - Wanne-Eickel, GERMANY - APR 17, 2013
Ein durchaus feines Bier, das man doch untershätzt. Leicht im Wiener Stil gehalten mit ein paar Kaffeearomen zum Abschluss. Fein und trinkbar, wenn auch kein Bier für den ganzen Abend.

BeerViking (5125) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 25, 2014
Amber-brown with a foamy white head and light notes of apple and toffee. Body is sweet, albeit with a dry bitter overlay. Caramel and peppery hops. OK but a bit dull.

culchiem (4237) - Berlin, GERMANY - APR 21, 2013
Bottle. Clear amber with a thin head. Aroma is bread and sweet malt. Flavour is rather sugary sweet, malt, caramel on a malted grain finish
