Wheaty nose, hints of yeast and some sweetness. Hazy yellow body, with a medium sized white head. Sourish flavor, with some yeastyness.

* Old rating, 0,5l, best before 15.02.06. Mild-hefiges Bier, leicht süßlich, fruchtig-mild. Süßliche Banane, fruchtig ohne Herbe. Süßlich-hefiger Nachgeschmack.

Die Schaumkrone hält mittelmäßig, farbe braun-grau. Es riecht sehr hefig. Geschmacklich ist es Hefig, Weizig etwas süßlich. Ein einfaches aber leckeres Weizen.

Swing top bottle, bought at the brewery shop. Blonde, cloudy. Fresh cheese and citrus in the aroma. Cheesy flavor with lemon. Thinnish.. Some clove in the aftertaste. Weird weizen, maybe infected.

JorisPPattyn (10061) - BELGIUM - NOV 6, 2005
Hazy pale yellow with greenish shine; good, collapsing white head. Sweet, solvent & cloves nose, ending peppery-clovey and fruity. Disconcerting taste, first quite bitterish, and a fishy, fish-spawn, sweet herring; bit of banana but restrained, as is the sweetness, more alleviated by a slight sourish, typically wheat touch. Medium bodied, wheat slickness. Disconcerting, yes, but nowhere bad, despite the strange associations I made. Good, danke, joss .

Bottled. Hazy yellow coloured with a small white head. Aroma of fruits and spices with notes of bananas. Flavour of fruits and spices with acidic and herby notes.

Papsoe (25060) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 3, 2005
(Bottle 50 cl) Hazy, golden beer with a decent and stable, white head. Lightly sour, citrusy aroma. Weak fruity notes in the flavour, but mainly this is just plain tart - if not to say sour. Not a very well made Hefe. 011005

MoritzF (10018) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - SEP 8, 2005
(bottle) Hazy and pale yellow colour with a medium foamy white head. Banana-fruity nose with yeasts. Malty and yeasty taste with an intense banana note, no spiciness. Short and light but nevertheless aromatic and refreshing finish. Well-made. Thanks pivnizub for the sample.

Swing-top bottle: Orangey to cloudy yellow coloured, mid-sized fluffy steady head; fruity and yeasty nose, impressive citrusy aroma with a tinge of vanilla; the initial fruity-sweetish and yeasty taste turns into a drier, a bit tart fruity finish with a tinge of hoppiness. Pleasant mouthfeel. A fine Weizen !

Bottle
Cloudy yellow, lowish creamy white head. Full banana and vanilla aroma. Yeasty strawlike base with plenty of banana notes on top, some bubblegum - chewy, light carbonated mouthfeel, somewhat light on the exit. Very good solid Hefeweizen.
