500ml bottle. Clear straw colour with a small head. Light aroma with a fruit and, some grass and a metallic tint. Fairly sweet to taste, light malt and some fruit - a little apple. The hops are there but pretty hidden. Could do with a little tartness to balance the sweetness, but pretty decent.

Slower burner for sure. Moving between various golden ales during an evening we kept coming back to this. Lightly carbonated with definite notes of maple syrup, it’s easy drinking and tasty.

Bottle at home. Pours clear golden with a short-lived thin white head. Aromas of buttery malt, faint maple syrup. Taste has the lightest hint of citrus hops, more sweet butteriness. Watery finish. Forgettable.

Bottle shared. Poured a crystal clear medium amber with a thin broken white head. The aroma is buttery creamy caramel malt, light citrus hop. The flavour is moderate to light bitter with a light, fresh, slightly watery, light floral hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle from home bargains, Walsall. Golden beer with small head. Aroma of honey and pale malts. Taste is honey, a little sweetness, grain and some hop bitterness. Decent.

[International Beer Festival, Burton-on-Trent, 2015] - Joseph Holt Brewery Maple Gold, 4.3% (Flasche). Nachhall moderat bitter. Wie ein Pilsener mit schwach gesüßtem Ahornsirup.

Appearance: Clear golden/amber with finger thick white head. Aroma: Biscuit, floral, hint of maple syrup. Taste: Low bitterness, low/medium sweet and sourness. Palate: Thick coarse texture, light body, average/prickly carbonation, fairly abrupt dry, citrus, sour/sweet malty finish. Comments: Tasty and glass lace.

Bottle ( Clear ) Orange with a small head.Slightly fruity with a bitter finish. More flavours developed the longer I drank for. Definitely a slow burner.

gegwilson (3788) - North Yorkshire, ENGLAND - NOV 16, 2013
Bottle from B&M Stockton. Golden ale with small white head. Quite sweet and a bit too carbonated. Not much flavour really. A touch of malt, but this is pretty bland stuff.

Bottled 20/09/13. A golden coloured beer with a white head. A sweet beer which presumably is down to the maple. Obvious pasteurization. It has a reasonable depth of flavour but it’s not my thing.
