2016 vintage, 10% abv. Pours very dark brown, with a nice dark tan head. Aroma of wood and whiskey. Taste is rich and pleasingly complex. Notes of chocolate, coffee, bourbon, malt, and oak. Smooth to drink, nice palate. Thumbs way up on this one! beerplace (1603) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 10, 2017

Deep black hue under a thin dark beige cap. Big sticky dark black malt nose with bourbonny brown sugar, oak, caramel, coconut and a light bit of coffee in there. Big sticky flavor thatís got dark sweet malts, cocoa, coffee, brown sugar, coconut, oak, vanilla, and a slightly smokey black malt finish with more coffee and more bourbon. Amazing. slowrunner77 (11917) - Reno, Nevada, USA - JUL 17, 2016
Surprised I liked this. Didnít realize it was Red Fox base, or I probably would have passed. Anyway, much bigger body. Bourbon and vanilla heavy, warming and slightly boozy. Chocolate and roast and light bitterness. Not bad.

650ml bottle. Black with dark brown foam. Aroma of bourbon, oak and chocolate brownie. Taste starts off sweet and chocolatey, then takes on elements of the barrel ageing. Not massively complex but a solidly done BA RIS. Padron4KM (810) - Chandler, Arizona, USA - MAR 11, 2016
22 oz bottle, into a 25cl goblet, and a snifter. Inky black. Thin tan head that dissipates rapidly, and leaves very little lace. Pjea (2) - - MAR 5, 2016 does not count
Aroma is big on the prune, some fig and date notes as well, wet oak, char, chocolate, vanilla.
Flavor is sweet, prune juice, vanilla, smoke, char, sweetened coffee, chocolate, booze.
First impressions are very positive. The pour is very dark with a slight tan head which doesn't last long. The aroma is slight sweet with hints of chocolate and vanilla. The taste is slightly sweet with a oak barrel/alcohol taste. Overall, not a bad beer.

Bottle; I havenít had the base beer - This one pours murky brown , with amber highlights. Theres a modest khaki head that retains poorly in this glass. Very light spotting presence here. The nose is chocolate cake, roasty and caramel notes, with feint alcohol presence. The flavor profile is a touch thin out of the gate - itís on the sweeter side - vanilla notes come through with brown sugars and caramel - itís rounded out by a roasty note with light barrel treatment. Itís a nice drinker - but not overly remarkable, either. DSG (14685) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - FEB 12, 2016
