UPDATED: OCT 2, 2014 balanced thick aroma of somewhat aged hops and carmely malt. good body. a touch thick, smooth. covers the abv well. taste hoppy, citrus, sweet malt. decent finish. i cannot freakin beleive i had a decent JJ beer. This place had 5 drainpours and a sad excuse for an RIS in the first six i tried. this is by far the best. I know that’s not saying a ton...Pliny it is not...but damn, it’s not drainpour. Yay!!

Bottle 650ml @ ClubGonzo
Pours slightly hazy amber with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, raisin and dried fruits. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and light to medium bitter with a long sirup sweet and caramel finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bomber. Orange pour with a white head. Caramel malt and hop, but cardboard elements too. Not great.

Appearance: big hoppy double ipa, malty sweetness is a bit over balanced by a strong bitterness, long bitterfinish

Thanks to sebletitje! 355 ml. can split by 4. Hazy orange, small white head. Nose is bitter orange, pine resin rather malty with some marmalade. Taste is milky yeast, bread, bitter pine resin, some sugary sweetness, marmalade, bitter dry finish with chewy malt body & a bit too much yeast. Quite nice & decent. A bit surprised by the very low score on here. Nothing special but quite satisfactory all the same.

Can with friends. Yellow appearance with a lasting white head. A bit of cardboard, lemon, and earth in the nose. Moderate sweetness. Pretty high bitterness. A little bit of toast, quite a bit of grapefruit, pine, and chewy malt. Kind of old but not very good anyhow.

22 oz. bottle shared by dudeabide. Pours a hazy golden brown color with a medium off white head. The aroma is tingly, almost tart citrus, sweet caramel malts with light herbal notes. Not very hoppy for a DIPA. The flavor is interesting, but not like an Imperial IPA. Tart citrus, grass, herbal, moderately sweet malts with a dry finish. Doesn’t seem to have the big malts and hops for the style.

Bottle, Vegas, somewhere on the strip. Malt forward IPA, breadcrusts and caramel share the stage with piney hops. Moderate bitterness. I liked it. Fuck you,

Clear golden under a thin sticky white head Bright juicy citrusy American hop nose with some dankness and some pith and semisweet pale maltiness. Bright hoppy sunshiney flavor that’s grassy and citrus peel-ish with light piney bitterness that’s balanced but the basic semisweet pale malt. Lingering pithy bittersweet citrus tones.

355ml can from Total Wine, Tampa.
