Clear orange beer, creamy off-white irregular head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very fruity, pineapple, resinous, piny. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very bitter, hoppy, resinous, citrus, bit metallic, pineapple. Aftertaste: hoppy, resinous, some alcohol, pineapple, bit sourish, very bitter, caramel malts. Don’t understand how this can score so low?
Pour out of 12 oz can, hazy orange-yellow pour with white head, aroma brought notes of butter, cardboard, hints of slight grass, orange, marmalade, caramel. Taste is a mix of cardboard, grass, orange, caramel, hints of a mix of butter, finishing fairly sweet, slightly bitter. bb (9697) - Alamo, California, USA - NOV 5, 2010
Draft. Rich amber beer with a cream colored head. Grapefruit and malt aroma with light earth. Caramel and malt flavor with grapefruit. Medium bodied. Nice bitterness. Grapefruit and caramel lingers with light pine. blipp (9590) - La Mesa, California, USA - SEP 20, 2012
Can. Pours hazy gold with an off white head. Herbal and floral hops, lighter fruity notes, and a lightly sweet malty base. Just a touch of harsh bitterness in the finish. Nice enough. b3shine (9072) - Indiana, USA - AUG 28, 2012
Bottle to snifter (thanks dudeabide). Looks good; a hazy burnt-orange with sticky white lacing. Smells hoppy and somewhat funky. Tastes like it smells, but better. Mouthfeel is good, but somewhat bretty. Good, but an atraditional DIPA.

Can thanks to Brian! Pours crystal clear orange with a medium creamy off-white head that dissipates slowly with good lacing. Aroma is pine, spruce, leaves. Flavo rid light sweet, medium bitter, a bit of grapefruit on top of the pine and spruce. Medium body, a bit harsh. drowland (8938) - Georgia, USA - OCT 19, 2013
10/19/13. 12oz can thanks to PorterPounder! Clear golden pour with a small khaki head. Bland, creamy aroma, some resin and dishrag, maltiness. Plain malty flavor, dishrag, resin, caramel. Meh. Ibrew2or3 (8808) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - NOV 17, 2012
12oz can pours clear copper with tall tan head of foam. The aroma offers up resiny hops, pine hops and thin hints of thick sweet maltiness off in the background. The taste begins with a hit of booze and resiny bitter pine hops before it moves into more hop flavor and still firm hop bitterness with grapefruit and lemon peel notes. Behind all of the hops is a bit of sweet malts that create nice base for this big somewhat boozy resiny bitter beer. All in all this is pretty darn good for the style. Bottle..conditioned? Certainly plenty of gunk swirling around in the bottle (mine is 9.3%). Sloppy bronze pour with no head and the condition of fruit juice. Oh dear. Sweet, soggy confectionery aroma; purple Allsorts, orange Smarties, fudge, banoffee and honey. Sounds good, but inappropriately sickly and hopless. Orange Smartie flavour, soggy with peach, cheesecake base and soap. At least the alcohol gets buried by sweetness. Drinkable, with no off notes but totally lacking condition and hop character. Easily the poorest US IPA I’ve ever had.

Tallahassee, Fl - World Market - 12 oz can. Pours a medium golden with nice bubble action, a sticky show white head and thick rings of lacing. Strong resiny fresh spruce aroma, touch of spearmint. Flavor has plenty of sticky hop citrusy bitterness, a touch of maple syrup sweetness, a hint of spearmint. Mouthfeel has a nice stickiness to it. Fades just a bit in the finish, but overall pretty solid.
