Bomber from Mr. B's. This is an inky black beer with a thick, creamy head. The first thing noticed in the aroma is chocolate. Must be the malt and Bourbon barrel working with the cacao nibs, but it's straight milk chocolate. Oaken vanilla becomes prominent. Mouthfeel is coating and fairly sweet but this masks the alcohol well. I'm disappointed in the lack of smoke anywhere on this beer. If the use of smoked malt is this conservative, just don't even mention it. Loads of sweet chocolate flavor hits the mouth with each sip. It's not bad, a little more bitterness, smoke, or something to balance the sweetness would do it for me. dwyerpg (6498) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - OCT 14, 2017
I have to say that I am surprised at this one gold at gabf, because this is a very sweet beer. The chocolate is obvious, it's kind of like a s'more beer. Just too sweet for me BVery (11461) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - OCT 10, 2017

Bomber, 2016 vintage. Rich roasted malt aroma with notes of smoke, chocolate, oak and bourbon. Pours black with a thin mocha brown head that has some retention and good lacing. Starts with rich roasted malt and dark chocolate flavors with nice, full body and silky smooth mouthfeel. Finishes smooth with some oak and bourbon flavors with ending dominated with smoke flavor that lingers on the palate at the end. Not quite as good as the vanilla, but still damned good. Bottle. Black with a medium khaki colored head that has good retention. The Aroma is pungent with dark fruits, cocoa and fireplace ash. The taste, like the aroma, has a good dose of cocoa, ash and then dark fruits way in the background. The smoke is not so prevalent and the ash dominates. The palate is oily, full and viscous with soft carbonation.Finishes long and semi-sweet. Overall: Good shit.

Deep dark cola brown with a thin light beige ring of foam. Lovely sweet chocolaty aroma with a kiss of earthy roast and stoutly malt base. Smooth roasty and slightly boozy flavor that’s got some earthy sweet chocolate and very gentle smokey undertones. Really pleasant and chocolaty and smokey. ajnepple (7372) - Lakewood, Colorado, USA - MAR 9, 2017
Draft at the Tivoli Brewing Tap House. Black appearance with a lingering, lacy brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, light smoke, bitter chocolate and coffee. Similar flavor, rich, dark and roasted with lingering cocoa. Medium to full body with a slight smoky finish. Nice.
