0.65l bottle shared with The Tasting Crew. It wants out of the bottle this! Nothing extremely, but it clearly does not like parting with it’s cap. It pours a heavy cloudy deep dark amber body. It almost looks like you have added cream in this, and it has a massive fluffy kinda dirty off-white top. On the nose I get a soft cellary sourness. Some earthy potatoes with traces of malts. It’s not extreme, but present. Slightly above average on the carbonation with a thin oily mouthfeel. The taste is much the same as the aroma - just more present. Earthy potatoes, some caramel, something slightly acidic sour in the background and traces of rutabaga and yeast. A bit strange in many ways. 09.01.2012 ClubGonzo (5670) - Bergen, NORWAY - JAN 28, 2013
Bottle, shared with Bergen Beer Geek Tasting Crew. Pours a dark slightly hazy orange body with a massive creamy off-white head. Aroma is sour-ish cellar must tones, red berries, biscuits and hints of...wool. Strange. Taste is earthy potato-like grass tones, mostly. Medium body and carbonation. A bit lifeless and one-dimensional, and clearly past consumption peak. Will re-rate if I have the chance. ej (1330) - Hauglandshella, NORWAY - JAN 9, 2013

Appearance: Pours slightly hazy amber with a medium sized foamy off-white head and a good amount of lacing left in the glass
Aroma: Toasted malts, bready and toffee
Taste: Toasted malts, bisquity, toffee with a nice mild pine bitterness in the finish
A nice easy drinking beer. Malty but well balanced. Light and smooth on the palate.
Khoury’s bottle. I’m no steam beer expert but this was tasty. A nice blend of sweeter caramel malts and some bright, green hops. Lasting bitterness. Very well done. dwyerpg (6187) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - OCT 14, 2011
A dark orange-brown color. Good head. This is pretty good. Grainy with a dry but light enough finish. I found this quite drinkable, even more so as you go along. One of the best JJ beers yet! Probably my favorite Steam beer truly.
