22 oz. bottle shared by dudeabide- thanks again, Nate! Pours a deep brown color with amber edges and no head. Aroma of chocolate, brown sugar, toasted coconut, tobacco, earth, and molasses. Flavor of tobacco leaves, earth, roasted malts, and chocolate. Not as sweet as the nose. Medium-bodied, with low carbonation and a flat, dry, earthy, toasty mouthfeel. A little disappointing. 22oz bottle, shared by dudeabide. Labeled 9.3%. Pretty much black color. Good thin brown head. Spread of dotty lace. Nice dark fruit, light vanilla, oaky aroma. Some roast coffee, dark chocolate. Bigger body. Good bigger bitter taste. Lightly tart. Light hint of alcohol. Good stuff. Nice roasty chocolatey aftertaste, big cocoa. Light to moderate dark fruit. Tasty, bold, robust stuff. b3shine (9072) - Indiana, USA - JUL 12, 2013
Bomber to snifter (shared by dudeabide). Looks good; a dark cola with thin beige lacing. Smells solid; dark malt, chocolate, and roast. Tastes like it smells with a good mouthfeel. Good beer. jkwalking05 (4743) - Arlington, Texas, USA - JUL 9, 2013
Rated in 2010 (Backlog) - Deep brown wih an average sized beige head. Aroma is of roasted malt, coffee, and chocolate. Taste is of chocolate and coffee. cpetrone84 (1810) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 3, 2013
pour is a viscous opaque black with a very dark mahogany brown head. Nose is a bit all over the place. Heavy roast, sugary malt, licorice and lightly nutty. Taste is also a bit flabby, not quite as roasty up front but there is an assertive roasted coffee and bitterness that lingers through the finish. Sweet dark malt, a touch sugary, faint licorice, and some dark berry towards the back of the palate. The body is thick, light carbonation, thins in the finish and actually a touch empty.

Poured very dark with almost no light getting through and a small. light brown head. Aroma of dry fruits and coffee that is promising. The taste gives way to a burnt coffee note, some chocolate, and dried fruits. A medicinal note comes in near the finish with an unpleasant bitterness. Not a well made stout. On tap at the Hungry Monk. Bold chocolate and coffee aroma interspersed with anise and burnt biscuit. Pours a deep ebony with a cocoa-colored head that evaporates quickly. Fairly typical flavor for an imperial stout with strong chocolate milk and coffee tones and a somewhat roasty conclusion. Moderate body for a RIS, with a dry, chalky finish. Overall, average at best. A deep dark stout with a thin brown head. In aroma,, a peaty musky chocolate with soy sauce and faint boiled veggies. In mouth, a smooth chocolate with chalky notes, coffee notes, licorice and alcohol. douglas88 (9569) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUN 3, 2013
Bomber. Pours a really black color, jet black with small brown head. A big nose of dark fruit and cocoa. The flavor is some sour dark roasted malts, dry earthy caramel and coffee, light berries, some more dark fruit. Very good altogether but could be better in order to reach the top levels of Impyiness. But really this is solid and quite nice. PhillyCraft (7707) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 18, 2013
Sample at Jons with Brian and Court after the Hill Farm event at cambridge. Black pour, light head and lace. notes of roast, peat, chocolate, and coffee bean. Pretty smooth. Not the best russian but certainly not the worst either.
