Bottle. Poured a dark brown color with an average frothy light brown head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate roasted coffee, chocolate and alcohol aroma. Medium to heavy roasted coffee malt flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate duration. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. This is a solid beer.

12 oz bottle from Lee’s Mesquite, NV. Nose is raisins covered with a light chocolate coating with the raisins standing out. Black with a medium heavy lacing, tan head. Flavor is fruity, lightly sweet chocolate with a background hint of bitterness. Decent and drinkable.

smell is of malt, some coffee, powered chocolate, and some nuts.

not a huge fan of the stout by itself but absolutely perfect for a float:

UPDATED: JUN 5, 2013 Pours a one finger light tan head that fades quickly to a ring leaving some lace. Black color, no highlights. Light carbonation and medium bodied. Baked chocolate nose and flavor is baked to burnt chocolate with hints of molasses. Burnt chocolate finish. On-tap, $8.00 for a 16oz glass from Central @ Caesar’s Palace Las Vegas, NV.

Bottle bought at random liquor store in Las Vegas. Opaque, black liquid with small mocca head. Aroma of coffee, licorice, dark chocolate, fruity yeast esters and tar. Taste is light sweet and medium bitter with notes of coffee, ash, licorice and fruity hops. Medium bodied with a bit high carbonation and velvety, smooth mouthfeel. Good for a $4 bomber. Bottle poured a translucent dark reddish brown nearly black with a lasting brown head. Aromas of roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee, licorice, dark fruit and light carmel. Palate was medium to full bodied and smooth. Flavors of roasted malt, bitter chocolate, light coffee, light dark fruit and a hint of licorice with a smooth lingering bitter chocolate finish.
