Mein erstes Bier aus Nevada, Weizen kann man eigentlich nicht verballern, sagt man. Schaumer mal. Optisch leicht trüb, kein Schaum. In der Nase Nelke. Im Trunk leicht säuerlich, wenig Nelke, hinten bitter. Hat wenig mit einem deutschen Hefeweizen gemeinsam.

Hazy light gold with a thin foamy white top. Brisk corianderish wheaty nose with a nice sunshiney quality about it. Smooth wheaty bright flavor that’s golden and slightly citric with orange peel and a dose of coriander...kinda like a Blue Moon but more wheaty and German instead of Belgian. Nice and mellow but flavorful.

12oz can pours with a pale gold colored body that has a light haze and supports a tall off white head of foam. The aroma offers up sweet sugary malt infused banana, earthy banana, a bit of lime and stale hay to go along with a mild yeastiness at the end of the draw. The taste delivers loads of sweetness peppered with chunks of sweet banana and then balanced by a nice somewhat sweetened juicy lime like note. To midway it gets softer on the palate as the wheat kicks in and as the modest citrus like juiciness ramps up a notch or two. Pretty nice but overall too sweet.

Banana bread, banana taffy, perfume and clove with some strange chemical / glue notes and a lot of nondescript fruit (peach, nectarine, old orange, whatever). Thick, syrupy, sweet, a bit rough, papery, and a tad sour.

Can at home. Pours hazy yellow with a medium, bubbly and fizzy white head, medium-short retention with light lacing. Aroma is spicy cloves and light bubble gum with bananas and earthy wheat malt. Flavor is spicy cloves, bubble gum esters, light banana and citrus with earthy wheat malt and a dry finish. Light body and moderate carbonation.

gramity (1638) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 18, 2016
Pours a murky orange/golden with no head after an aggressive pour. Aroma has a slight sour aspect with hints of orange banana and spice. Taste also has an odd sour funk presence, which is almost nice but certainly out of place among the poor flavors of clove and banana.

Pours a cloudy pale straw with a flimsy white head that is true to style. Smells great: hay, floral, banana, bubblegum... Taste is very well balanced with a nod to sour. Clean fresh palate with just a little stickiness. Slight coppery aftertaste mouthfeel? It’s a good hef. My favorite offering by JJ to date?

12 oz can from the Craft Beer Cellar - Fort Collins. Hazy orange appearance with a lacy white head. Aroma of bread, spices, herbs, banana, clove and hints of citrus. Similar flavor, a little dull, with an average body. Drinkable.
