COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Prost means "cheers" in German- a gesture of friendship and an enjoyment of the moment. Our Maibock style lager is brewed just like the celebratory beer traditionally served at the May festivals: rich and malty, with slightly spicy notes from the Hallertau and Tettnang hops. ALC 7.3% BY VOL and 26 bitterness units.

Deep golden with a sweetish nose and flavor. Delicate hopping adds a little depth, and a touch of breadiness in the malt as well. Not very deep, but ok.

Bottle. Richer then the Joseph’s Brau Maibock. Wonderful deep golden color with an orange hue and a nice three finger head. Aroma is bread, grains with a slight hint of clover honey. Taste was sweet up front, bread in the middle with a tad of a bitter finish.

Deep dark amber coloured body with a light tan head, about a centimetre tall. Aroma of grass, dry malt, a hint of sugars and very little else, but perhaps that’s nice? Light-bodied; Assertive earthy and cardboardie malts up front with a big dose of lager yeast, some bananas and clove flavours escape the vacuum and a bit of sweetness comes through at the end. Aftertaste shows a bit of dry funk along with some grassy qualities, but little else in terms of smooth flavous, yet subdued richness, but goes down fairly easy. Overall, a decent beer with a decent profile, nothing pungent or extremely bitter, and goes down over time with an easy-to-drink finish. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Trader Joe’s in Washington (West End - Foggy Bottom) on 11-March-2017 for US$1,09 sampled at home in Washington on 25-April-2017.

$1.09 bottle from Trader Joe’s. Pours copper with a small off-white head. Aroma of caramel, browning leaves, and light grass. Flavor is sweet caramel malts, grass, light metallic notes, nuts, toffee. Not bad, especially for a little over a buck.

Traitor Zhou’s just keeps on delivering with these contract brews. This dark, malty beverage does nothing bust satisfy with its balanced profile of malt and hops and high gravity of seven some odd thing percent. At $6.49 a six pack it’s six times the value of a local pint. Cheers, Joe!

12 oz. bottle purchased at Trader Joe’s in Omaha. Poured copper, foamy, lasting off white head. Aroma was cereal grain, malt, grains. Taste was medium sweet,

chinchill (4993) - South Carolina, USA - JUN 13, 2016
12 oz bottle with a BB date of 26 July 2016. Pours with a mahogany colored body that has excellent clarity but is covered by a rather weak, off-white head. Limited lacing. Moderately strong malty flavor with partially hidden alcohol. Hops are faint in the flavor but more obvious in the aroma. Smooth, full body with light carbonation that’s a touch too light.

Reddish amber in the glass. Nose is sweet and malty. Palate follows suit. Kinda like a hard Killians’s.
