3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Amber pour. Light tan head. Aroma is toast, apples, and spice. Flavor is toasty and sweet at first. When I took my first few sips I did not think I was going to finish it as it was too sweet. However as I continued to drink the flavor became slightly bitter and in my opinion better. Carbonation is medium to high and body is medium.
Deep golden with a sweetish nose and flavor. Delicate hopping adds a little depth, and a touch of breadiness in the malt as well. Not very deep, but ok. tnkw01 (1753) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - APR 28, 2017
Bottle. Richer then the Joseph’s Brau Maibock. Wonderful deep golden color with an orange hue and a nice three finger head. Aroma is bread, grains with a slight hint of clover honey. Taste was sweet up front, bread in the middle with a tad of a bitter finish. jgb9348 (6259) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - APR 26, 2017
Deep dark amber coloured body with a light tan head, about a centimetre tall. Aroma of grass, dry malt, a hint of sugars and very little else, but perhaps that’s nice? Light-bodied; Assertive earthy and cardboardie malts up front with a big dose of lager yeast, some bananas and clove flavours escape the vacuum and a bit of sweetness comes through at the end. Aftertaste shows a bit of dry funk along with some grassy qualities, but little else in terms of smooth flavous, yet subdued richness, but goes down fairly easy. Overall, a decent beer with a decent profile, nothing pungent or extremely bitter, and goes down over time with an easy-to-drink finish. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Trader Joe’s in Washington (West End - Foggy Bottom) on 11-March-2017 for US$1,09 sampled at home in Washington on 25-April-2017. hershiser2 (3245) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - MAR 18, 2017
$1.09 bottle from Trader Joe’s. Pours copper with a small off-white head. Aroma of caramel, browning leaves, and light grass. Flavor is sweet caramel malts, grass, light metallic notes, nuts, toffee. Not bad, especially for a little over a buck. Fatehunter (2567) - Corbett, Oregon, USA - FEB 22, 2017

Traitor Zhou’s just keeps on delivering with these contract brews. This dark, malty beverage does nothing bust satisfy with its balanced profile of malt and hops and high gravity of seven some odd thing percent. At $6.49 a six pack it’s six times the value of a local pint. Cheers, Joe! ozzy70 (1148) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - JUL 6, 2016

12 oz bottle with a BB date of 26 July 2016.
Pours with a mahogany colored body that has excellent clarity but is covered by a rather weak, off-white head. Limited lacing.
Moderately strong malty flavor with partially hidden alcohol. Hops are faint in the flavor but more obvious in the aroma.
Smooth, full body with light carbonation that’s a touch too light. ByTheirLimpin (321) - New York, USA - MAY 16, 2016
Reddish amber in the glass. Nose is sweet and malty. Palate follows suit. Kinda like a hard Killians’s. markas101 (2455) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - APR 30, 2016
Bottle, Ann Arbor MI via Trader Joes. Dark amber gold. Sweet aroma malty with some white pepper. Sweet, syrupy, mostly sweet with some hops at the end.
