VsXsV (4397) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - APR 5, 2017
UPDATED: APR 5, 2017 Draught at Snekutis Uzupis. Hazy amber liquid with small off-white head. Aroma of banana, grain, bread, light jenka/plastic and light caramel. Taste is very light sweet and light to medium bitter with notes of bread, grain, hay, caramel, astringent wood and banana. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Pretty peculiar beer.

Bottle. Appearance is reddish with off white head. Aroma is nothing spectacular: malt, nuts, and hops. Taste is moderately sweet. Medium bodied. First Lithuanian beer for me.

ON TAP at Snekutis. Rustic aroma of cooked apples, oatmeal and a touch of vanilla. A little tart/fermenting. The taste is light sweet and nutty, light spicy phenolics resembling spicy goat cheeses. Unique and good.

Murky brown color with a white head, medium retention. Aroma has yeasty notes, slightly caramel with some herbal hints. Flavor is mild acidic, herbal notes with some ginger in the final.

Bottle(as Jovaru Šnekutis/@ Litauen Spezial, Alles Gärbar Bochum): Hazy, golden, no head to speak of; Aroma is very hard to describe, maybe fruity-cellary, traces of sour dough, traces of burnt malt; moderate sweet-sourish flavour, thinnish MF; short fruity and goughy finish. Not my cup of tea...

Fat @ Snekutis (Sv Stepono). Oklar mörkorange vätska med ett minimalt vitt skum. Dofter av mogen frukt, örter och gräs. Smakinslag av örter, citrus, krusbär och gräs. Torr munkänsla, syrlig eftersmak och avslutning. Mycket trevlig.

1.0 liter PET bottle.Dominated by yeast in both aroma and taste, with some sweet-sour malts, hints of nuts and potato. Small off-white head, traces of lacing. Medium body, low carbonation. Greyish-brownish colour, murky, looks exactly like drawn from a muddy puddle. A rather typical Baltic countryside farmhouse ale, not terrible, but also not something I’d look forward to have.
