Poured a rich and clear auburn with a light tan head that had some decent staying power. Aroma of lightlty roasted nuts and sweet malt. Taste of sweet malts, not a lot of hoppiness, clean and inoffensive aftertaste. Average at best.
UPDATED: MAR 8, 2009 Amber-red beer with a respectable white head and a modest lacing. Pleasant floral hop aroma. Flavor is dominated by sickly, sulfury off elements, with a soapy hop bitterness that doesn’t improve the matter. Thin bodied, somewhat caustic mouthfeel. On draught at the brewpub in Western Madison, Wisconsin. Pours a clear light copper amber brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that quickly dissipates to an off-white ring and little lacing. Aroma of light caramel malt, a touch of toffee and some light citrus hops. Taste is medium bodied, with a semi-sweet caramel/toffee malt flavor with some roasted nuts and a touch of spice. A fairly decent ale, pours a reddish brown colour with a medium sized white head. very well balanced between hops and malts, but found it to be a little weak, lighter tasting than i would have anticipated. It had a little watery finish.

sample @ brewery--smmooooootttthhhhh. This is a pretty good red. Not nearly as heavy as other reds so for those who arent into reds, its a good taste. Again, not the best red youll ever have, and nowhere near it, but you can do a whole lot worse.
