Poured a rich and clear auburn with a light tan head that had some decent staying power. Aroma of lightlty roasted nuts and sweet malt. Taste of sweet malts, not a lot of hoppiness, clean and inoffensive aftertaste. Average at best.
UPDATED: MAR 8, 2009 Amber-red beer with a respectable white head and a modest lacing. Pleasant floral hop aroma. Flavor is dominated by sickly, sulfury off elements, with a soapy hop bitterness that doesn’t improve the matter. Thin bodied, somewhat caustic mouthfeel. Amber red beer with a tiny white ring. Faint aroma of roasted malt. Much bigger flavor than aroma. Very assertive roasted malt and unmalted barley, caramel. Mildly harsh and slightly bitter aftertaste. Skyview (6055) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - JUL 30, 2008
On draught at the brewpub in Western Madison, Wisconsin. Pours a clear light copper amber brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that quickly dissipates to an off-white ring and little lacing. Aroma of light caramel malt, a touch of toffee and some light citrus hops. Taste is medium bodied, with a semi-sweet caramel/toffee malt flavor with some roasted nuts and a touch of spice. Finish has a semi-sweet aftertaste, a little watery texture and a mild bitterness that quickly disappears. esjaygee (3904) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 19, 2008
On tap at the brewpub. Red with a thin off-white head. Aroma of caramel and light nuts. Taste of caramel, light nuts, sweet malts that finishes mildly bitter. phishpond417 (2088) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 11, 2008
A fairly decent ale, pours a reddish brown colour with a medium sized white head. very well balanced between hops and malts, but found it to be a little weak, lighter tasting than i would have anticipated. It had a little watery finish.

Draft at the brewpub. Poured a clear copper color. Thin, creamy off white head that reduced to a ring. I smelled only some light toffee. Slightly sweet on the tongue with toffee, toasted bread, and light caramel flavors. Decent. gws57 (1276) - Saint Charles, Illinois, USA - FEB 5, 2008
Had this one on draught at the brewpub in Madison, Wisconsin. Clear, dark red pour with a lacy white head, very light, malty nose, very light malty flavor, very quaffable but really, not much going on with this one. kp (10882) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - SEP 1, 2007

sample @ brewery--smmooooootttthhhhh. This is a pretty good red. Not nearly as heavy as other reds so for those who arent into reds, its a good taste. Again, not the best red youll ever have, and nowhere near it, but you can do a whole lot worse.
