On tap at the brewpub on 6/22/07: Pours a transparent dark copper amber with a thin-lacing covering of white head. Aroma of sweet caramely malt with nice earthy smoke character. Body starts fairly full with a nice earthy smoky malt presence and sweet caramel drying with a touch of black pepper before a thinner bittersweet finish. A pretty decent rauchbier. kp (10882) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - SEP 1, 2007

hazy amber, headless,
rich smoked malt aroma,
lots of smoked flavor well balanced with dry munich malt, light lingering bitterness,
Aroma: 7/10; Appearance: 6/10; Flavor: 7/10; Palate: 7/10; Overall: 15/20
It looks good, it smells good and has a nice head. Smoked beer is just to wierd for my tastes.
