The Julian Hard Cider recipe originates from 1670 colonial America and is comparable to the finest British ciders. Unlike many “impostor” hard ciders on the market, it is easy to have more than one pint of Julian Hard Cider as we do not use concentrated apple Juice or additives which leave the drinker with a lingering sugary film and after-taste. Why is Julian Hard Cider the choice of true cider lovers? We have only one ingredient… the freshest apples in the world! Our cider is lightly carbonated with tartness, acidity and a clean dry finish, enabling it to stand firmly on its own or compliment your favorite meal. At Julian Hard Cider, we invite EVERYONE to put our hard cider alongside the best in the world, as we painstakingly strive to build our fan base one drinker at a time.

Bottle 22fl.oz.

Clear light yellow colour with a small, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate apple and pear. Flavour is moderate sweet and light light acidic with a average duration. Pretty disappointing cider ;O( Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is flat. [20111001]

Draft @ Green Man Brewery, Asheville, NC. Pours a very pale yellowish color with no head. Has a fruity and slightly sweetish tart apple aroma. Fruity tart acidic apple flavor. Has a fruity tart sour apple finish.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Small head with short duration. Color is pale as water. Aroma and taste are light apples with some acidity and high carbonation. Crisp and clean, but very weak. More like a soda.

Riduculously pale, it looks like water. Not much aroma, a little bit of apple. Tart and refreshing and note a ton of character but it hits a pocket of dry and refreshing that works in warm weather.

Bottle. Clear as water with no head. Aroma is a tiny bit pear/apple. Flavour is a little pear, little acid and quite watery.

brokensail (16696) - Dublin, California, USA - SEP 20, 2010
Pours a pale golden color with a fair amount of haze and a fizzy white head that soon disappears. A nice dryness to the nose with some crisp apples and a mild tartness, somewhat like a nice white wine. The flavor offers up more of the same. A pleasant dryness, not leaving all that much room for sweetness (but there is a touch). The mouthfeel is somewhat "champagney" in that it’s highly carbonated and drying.

Bottle @ Autumn Tasting, Ulfborg 2011. Pours clear see through pale with bubbles on top. Lots of pear and a bit of dust. Sweet with an acidic touch. A bit bland. Ends dry.

Bomber from South Bay Drug. Looks like a perry when it pours. Very light aroma - just mild fruit. Heading for medium body with decent carbonation. It is astringent and just a bit sour. It has apple flavor, but rather light. It picks up some sugar in the finish, so it’s fairly balanced. All in all it’s a pretty good drink.

Bottle. Poured clear light pale color with a minimall head that diminished quickly with minimal lacing. Light green apple aroma. Light body with a thin smooth texture and soft carbonation. Light flavor of tart apple with a light sweet finish of short duration.

Drake (14360) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 30, 2012
Bomber from Beer Run. Pours a very pale yellow color with a thin fizzy head that quickly disappears. Aroma of sweet apples with faint apples skins. All sweet. The taste is dry apples, pear, some graininess, sweet finish and a faint tinny, almost tomato-y note. Thin-medium bodied. Meh.
