The Julian Hard Cider recipe originates from 1670 colonial America and is comparable to the finest British ciders. Unlike many “impostor” hard ciders on the market, it is easy to have more than one pint of Julian Hard Cider as we do not use concentrated apple Juice or additives which leave the drinker with a lingering sugary film and after-taste. Why is Julian Hard Cider the choice of true cider lovers? We have only one ingredient… the freshest apples in the world! Our cider is lightly carbonated with tartness, acidity and a clean dry finish, enabling it to stand firmly on its own or compliment your favorite meal. At Julian Hard Cider, we invite EVERYONE to put our hard cider alongside the best in the world, as we painstakingly strive to build our fan base one drinker at a time.

Tap. Pours nearly water clear. Aroma and flavor are green and red apples, and very faint vanilla and woodiness; mostly sweet. Light body.

Bottle. Pale golden with small head. Fairly dry green apple. Seems a bit muted, but otherwise ok. Average.

Draft in Julian. Pours a very pale clear color with almost no head. Tastes light and dry, faint apple, hardly any sweetness. Light body and low carbonation. Faint aroma of baking apples.

No retention and no lacing. Smells of apple, cinnamon and sweet water. Tastes of green and red apple and cinnamon water. No real aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft. A pretty basic cider, pre the days when we had access to new cideries and English and Spanish imports.

"Really liked the tart and lively Cherry Bomb version of this, buth this one was lacking, relatively speaking. Average at best, it had a pleasant apple crispness, but no depth or uniquness to speak of."

Alright, in an effort to appease my cider cohorts, I shall say something about this.
The appearance was a hazy golden burnt orange to yellow color with a fast rising carbonation escaping towards the dieing head. Wait a minute, what head, as it’s bubbly and quickly dieing.
The smell had a light sweet apple with a fairly decent sweet hay to honey weirdness (sorry, there’s something different than most ciders I’ve had that allows something different in this one).
The taste was mainly sweet but still had a light weird hay - like / maybe grassy sweetish sort of sugary - ness going on.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a fairly sharp carbonation running about it. Sessionable, hmmmm...not really.
Overall, decent for a cider, nice to try but nothing to really go back to.

On tap. Pale, pale golden with some bubbles that cling to the glass. Nose is tart green apple with a touch of sweetness. Tastes the same, with some pithy wooden notes on the finish. Light body is tingly with medium-high carbonation and has a nice balance.

Pours the palest of gold. This cider is fairly tart, a tad watery and had flavors of green and yellow apples.

skmikeg (1826) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 29, 2013
Pour a light straw yellow with a small fizzy whit head which quickly fades to no lacing. Aroma is of apple juice, viniger, sour apples, apple skin, and. A touch of cinnamon. Taste is pretty similar to the aroma. Has a light body with a watery mouthfeel and a dry, semi sour, medium-short finish. Overall, a somewhat deccent cider.
