One of my favorites from my military days drank this too many times to count in giblestadt germany.

Some beers, like this, I’m amazed I’ve never rated. On tap at Tap and Mallet. It was fresh and delicious and served in proper glassware, 4.9 ABV. Nose of ripe bananas, Taste was similar, with a touch of cloves. A dry finish indicating some hop presence. Cloudy and bright yellow with fluffy head. True to style and a bit above average, not the best, but very good.

Bottle. Not a bad German Hefeweizen but there are better ones out there. Cloudy gold in color with a two finger head. Taste and aroma were the usual banks and spice.

Picked up a single 500 ml bottle from Heritage Liquors in Maplewood, Minnesota. Pours a semi-clear golden pale colored brew with a thick off-white head that has some good retention. Aroma of banana esters, golden grain malt, a hint of honey and a touch of clove. Taste is medium bodied with flavors of both banana, clove esters, a hint of honey, a touch of bubblegum and sour dough bread. Finish is semi-sweet with a banana ester and floral hop aftertaste. A solid German hefeweizen throughout.

Hazy yellowish, thick white head. Yeasty banana aroma. Sweet banana candy flavour. Ok but a tad watery.

Bottle. Pours hazy straw with stable white head. Clear aroma of malt and banana, with notes of grain and yeast and touches of hops. Sweetish flavour of malt and banana, with notes of hops and grain. Sourish, grainy afteraste with malty hints. Not bad.

Light orange colour, hazy, medium head (surprisingly low for a hefe) is quite dense, shows good retention and some lacing. Aroma of strong banana with a slight fresh herbal feel and some lemon in the background. Taste has soft wheat malts foundation (white bread), strong banana, a hint of lemon and underlying spiciness (clove). Dominantly sweet as obvious but not too much (average sweetness as per style i would say). Light to medium body, medium to high carbonation, easy and decently lively. Averagely good

Gute Sache.

Hazy wheaty gold with a thin foamy cap. Lovely bready and sunshiney nose that’s pleasantly wheaty and golden, not too yeasty or fluffy, with a nice little touch of clove and very light near-green banana. Clean and surprisingly crisp flavor that’s wheaty, a touch German blonde, light clove, light bready banana, and pleasantly bright.

Bottle. Pours hazy golden big white head. Aroma of dough, earthy notes, clove, and fruit. Medium sweet taste. Medium body, a bit sticky texture, sweet smooth finish. Solid German Hefe.
