Huge head over CLOUDY weizen. Pale. Nose of banana and desert. The alcohol was present in the taste. Yet this was incredibly drinkable. Its bitterness increased through the end.

500ml bottle. Hazy golden, large creamy wheat head. Aroma of bananas, wheat and yeast. Taste is banana, wheat, clove, spice, yeast, spice. Heavy carbonation. Decent.

Jabic (500) - Plainfield, Vermont, USA - MAR 24, 2017
Ar: Tart peach and medium-ripe banana; a little soapy; touch of wet clove; some fresh, pale, bready malt. Ap: Very lightly hazy gold; massive white head with great retention, leaves a semi-dense cap of foam, airy chunks of lacing on the glass sides, and multi-sized bubbles speckled throughout. T: Tart peach skin; moderate banana; doughy malt; very low bitterness, no hop flavor; light sweetness mid-palate, mingles with the banana to give a faint banana bread impression; hints of cloves on the finish. P: Medium-light body, with a creamy qualify from the high carbonation coupled with the wheat; finish is crisp and medium-dry. O: Top-notch German hefeweizen; all the hallmark flavors are present, and the beer has great mouthfeel and a nice aroma; easy-drinking, flavorful, and delicious!

FROTHINGSLOSH (7489) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 15, 2017
Sampled from a 16.9 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy golden color with an enormous creamy orange-white head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet, tart, citric and yeasty. The flavor was tart and slightly bitter with sourdough bread, lemon, orange and phenol. Long finish. Medium body. Quite nice.

Large bottle half of it poured into a nonic. Cloudy pale yellow, little foaming but persistent, nose of bread, faint spice, lemon. Flavor of sweet, light malt, lemon and mild spices. Rather heavy body for the style and with a unobtrusive carbonation. Very well balanced and pleasant wheat beer, free of that offensive banana taste of the cheezy, mass produced clones. A keeper.

One of my favorites from my military days drank this too many times to count in giblestadt germany.

Some beers, like this, I’m amazed I’ve never rated. On tap at Tap and Mallet. It was fresh and delicious and served in proper glassware, 4.9 ABV. Nose of ripe bananas, Taste was similar, with a touch of cloves. A dry finish indicating some hop presence. Cloudy and bright yellow with fluffy head. True to style and a bit above average, not the best, but very good.

Bottle. Not a bad German Hefeweizen but there are better ones out there. Cloudy gold in color with a two finger head. Taste and aroma were the usual banks and spice.

Picked up a single 500 ml bottle from Heritage Liquors in Maplewood, Minnesota. Pours a semi-clear golden pale colored brew with a thick off-white head that has some good retention. Aroma of banana esters, golden grain malt, a hint of honey and a touch of clove. Taste is medium bodied with flavors of both banana, clove esters, a hint of honey, a touch of bubblegum and sour dough bread. Finish is semi-sweet with a banana ester and floral hop aftertaste. A solid German hefeweizen throughout.

Hazy yellowish, thick white head. Yeasty banana aroma. Sweet banana candy flavour. Ok but a tad watery.

Bottle. Pours hazy straw with stable white head. Clear aroma of malt and banana, with notes of grain and yeast and touches of hops. Sweetish flavour of malt and banana, with notes of hops and grain. Sourish, grainy afteraste with malty hints. Not bad.
