Amber color. It has a very light caramel aroma and light caramel flavor, the body is quite thin, correct bitterness. Too simple.
Very smooth, yet robust malty beer. I was very surprised with this one. Rated 4/1/04

A: The pour is quite typical for an amber ale as it is (miraculously) amber in color with a small off-white head.
S: The nose is mild with some toasty and biscuity malts with perhaps a touch of citrus from the hops.
T: The flavor is rather bland as well with the primary flavors consisting of toasty and bready malts. The hops aren’t very noticeable at all, perhaps just a touch of bitterness.
M: The body is medium with a slightly creamy feel on the tongue.
D: A decent enough amber ale, though I prefer the hoppier varieties of this style bhensonb (15338) - Woodland, California, USA - MAY 17, 2009

Combo smell of caramel malt and some decent, perhaps floral, hop. Dark amber brown color with a head that ringed, but leaves light ring lace. Medium bodied, with near creamy carbonation. Caramel malt with not quite enough hop to balance it. Yet the flavor is really good. Must be from the hop that gave it the floral nose. The finish is halfway dry, at least. There is some toffee and light bitter in the mouth. It’s pretty good.
Bottle from Trader Joe’s. Pours a clear dark amber with a moderate rocky white head that mostly lasting and produced fair lacing. Light balanced aroma. Light to medium body with soft carbonation. Medium balanced malt and hop flavor with a medium bitter finish of moderate duration. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - MAR 2, 2008
